The music sounds good indeed. But... is this the actual footage that belongs to the recording? If this is the case, why do I see an old-fashioned tape recorder? In this era you would suppost to expect that they record it digitally?
It aint even portable tascam made a studio recorder like that for this era (8 track) it still beats the compact disc quality wise But yah lifting a over 70pound recorder/player i dont think so.
I got really ALL vangelis albums from bad till good (yes even he made some crap in his years)
I do not know this tune, from his website. i gathered info and discography see is if i missed anything.
This recording is fake, even if it was from portable to 8 track
Well he was supposed to have been in Paris in the last few years remastering his old albums at Frederik Rousseau's studio. Doesn't mean the video and piece are legit though. Seems like a hoax.
vangelis really doesn't need to compose new tracks, we are still waiting for the bounty missing bitter moon and etcetera, for when mr, papattanissou?.....
I can't find his style here.... Sounds similar to the beginning of Chariots of fire, a kind of music he left behind ages ago, but many keep imitating today.
I would have to say that this is one of vagelisès and ny favorite and obscure meledies.

"Vangelis moves to Paris where he builds a new studio, Epsilon, and scores yet another three movies"
guddel44 3 years ago
Yeah, but that was back in the 90s. And now is 2009. His last albums were recorded in Athens.
By the way, you could check out Youtube videos of Vangelis in his Paris Epsilon studios and compare his equipment with what is shown to us here...
Anyway, let's wait for the new album ;)

and he recorded on tape, i remember...
when he lives or work now in athen, maybe its a old unreleased track
guddel44 3 years ago
Why tape recorder, why Paris? - Vangelis lives and records his albums in his studio in Athens.
It's hard to say about music but I suppose that "ipone video" is fake. Sorry.

the notes say it was recorded on an iphone, which explains the brevity
