Eating balut is natural in the philippines and i am a filipino

eating it is very simple. crack it at the top/bottom put a salt then drink the juices like in a MUG.

And the funniest part is eating the fetus.

We called it sisiw. Lolx!

The balut-vendor anecdote is so true. Almost every night in our hometown, the vendor with his balut basket bellows "baluuuuuuuuuuut...... baluuuuuut!" in a highly modulated voice, LOL. And we never forget to buy.

Thanks Mitch for this very informative video. I hope foreigners will learn from it. As you said, balut is supposed to be eaten in one or two bites. Most videos here in Youtube always show people trying to dissect the chick, as if they're surgeons or something. LOL.
