Also, throughout the interview, he was not once arrogant or impolite. His choice of words, although not being very good with English, were those of a true sportsman and athlete. He was quick to praise Cadel of his wonderful Tour and form but was never jealous of him. I seriously hope haters can rethink why they dislike Contador (and seriously, get over the chain-dropping incident)

Contador is actually very nice and polite, unlike what many people make him out to be. He really does not deserve all this criticism and dislike from the public and should be more appreciated and liked by fans. I mean, just look at how he ended the interview with his warm and genuine smile. Would the Schlecks do that?

These days, its the 'cool' thing amongst cycling fans to dislike Contador. Whenever I ask someone why they dislike him, they quite often respond with, "Oh, I don't know.....he doped.....he does the pistol shot.....he attacked Andy Schleck after he dropped his chain." Blah blah blah. Alberto is a class act and always will be. Viva Contador en TDF 2012!

Alberto Contador is always very nice, friendly and tries his best even in this english interview that is obviously not easy for him.

He has been treated very unfairly during the Tour de France 2011 but he never became angry or rude. So I can not understand why some peope always criticize him even over his english skills.

Contador's English is fine and it isn't like this is the first interview he's done where he's had to speak it. I did feel sorry for him with the amount of booing he got, but every sport needs its bad guy and at the moment the fans have placed that on him. I do hope that his drug thing clears up because the battles between him, the Schlecks and Evans over the next few years should be special (if they all stay fit)
