I think the reason they suspened him with pay and not without is because like everybody else he is presumed innocent until proven guilty. If he was suspened without pay and then got off it would cost the taxpayers more money because then he could sue the service for undue hardship. Suspened with pay is not a paid vacation, he still has to report into work, just can't go on the road. After he's sentenced he might be fired.. but if not will face more charges under the Police Service Act.

I think the reason they suspened him with pay and not without is because like everybody else he is presumed innocent until proven guilty. If he was suspened without pay and then got off it would cost the taxpayers more money because then he could sue the service for undue hardship. Suspened with pay is not a paid vacation, he still has to report into work, just can't go on the road. After he's sentenced he might be fired.. but if not will face more charges under the Police Service Act.

The Police Services act should not allow special exceptions for officers, allowing it there means we should scrap it and start all over again. I wrote in a blog about the mental torment injured workers go through because of having their medical and legal rights taken and being tortured to death with pain, poverty, and stress. They removed my blog, but it is up again, threatened me with jail, and would not take my complaints of malfeasance and misfeasance against certain government employees. I am being tortured to death.
