Its been awhile since I've watched this movie, but yeah, something like that. All I remember is before they waxed their victims, they would inject a chemical into their victims, that paralyzed their bodies, and made them stiff, the drug killed their nerves or something. Anyway and when they were waxed, the wax acted like a new coat of skin that was easily ripped off, so they became the perfect specimens for a deranged collector's wax museum.

Here's my analysis: the paralyzing drug injected kills his ability to move his muscles; it paralyzes but does not kill the nerve system so he still feels pain.The drug is so mr waxman can position him in the chair without worrying about restraining him. The wax replaced the skin, not the rest of the body. He still had skeletal system and everything else.The wax was not holding him up. His body was. It is as if he was just sitting there perfectly balanced.
