interestingly enough, it is pronounced in some parts of the world as the announcer speaks it. english is spoken all over the world, so english words have made their way into other languages where they have been phonetically adapted to common methods of verbalization for a particular language. in japan, it is pronounced 'u-fo' as in '(w)oo foe.' maybe the BBC was an early adopter of extra-national de-anglicization of the native language of england. you should travel a bit more, see the world.
Rock Bottom,Time on my hands.
saliendo Chapman entro Peyronel, despues salio Peyronel y entro Paul Raymond!!
@shep79 Chapman came in as a new idea to fill in the live sound live but Schenker didn't feel confortable since he was writing the Lead Guitarist & music writer & Mogg was writing the lyrics, but live it did make a difference still ,he was let go & then Danny Peyronel came in with Keyboards & had an input on a few songs for the NO HEAVY PETTING album!
@shep79 Paul Chapman addressed these questions in an old interview with Steve Gett in Guitar magazine - PC: "I first joined UFO back in 1974 after answering an advert in the music press. It was just after "Phenomenon" had come out and in fact I can remember having a white label copy to learn the songs from. At that point Michael had been in the band for about 6 months and they were basically playing the pub circuit"
@shep79 PC: "It was all a bit confusing really. Michael and I used to share a room, as did Phil and Peter, while Andy was on his own... as usual! So me and Michael had our own thing and so did they. Whenever I'd be with Pete or Andy they'd be telling me they were fed up and so it didn't really hold much interest for me. I was about 18 or 19 and just used to get pissed all the time.
@shep79 Any way to cut along story short, they elbowed me just before they went to America. I think I missed a gig or something and basically not being too professional about things. It didn't really bother me though, because I ended up going back to Wales and got a group together, which became Lone Star"
He goes on to say that some of Force It may have come from some of his riffs and ideas. PC also filled in for MS in 1977 when he made one of his famous disapearing acts!
Killer version. 1st time I've ever heard this version and I've been a HUGE Schenker/UFO fan since seein' 'em in 75. Michael is my all time fave guitarist, sickest tone of anyone: SCHENKERTONE! Thanks for the tunes!
@LizRichieBand So sorry but u sure are correct! Had to do a lil more home wk on the best (UFO). Still strange name pronouced that way. Must not have lasted too long?
I've never heard of song by that name at least not with UFO(schenker era) there's Highway Lady from (UFO) & Lady Starligt from (Scorpions) but I'll look for it & if I happen to find it I'll let you know, thnx 4 watching!
you gotta love the primative sound of schenker's bluesy style. the young years are imcomparable to anyone else. schenker kicked off the whole rippin it live themeas far as im concerned...thnx for the oldie bro.

In the european ethnic neighborhoods in Chitown, their name was phonetically pronounced "OOFO". It was all one word.

Mogg's vocals are really cool - usually I think he sings a tad too aggressively, but here he isn't at all. He sounds great!
