PLEASE that album wasn't released because Rick Rubin (who produced it) had a falling out with Sony & reunited with Island Def Jam. It had nothing to do with how good the album was (if you've heard it, you'd know it slays). The band didn't feel like dealing with the legal bullshit involved so they bailed. 'Urban Coyote' sounds flat compared to the second album. Besides, Reeder made the album. His performance on that album was better than any of his work with Kyuss.

Josh admits that he just followed Brant's lead and learned everything he knows about groove from Brant. Brant created KYUSS, he perfected the Desert Rock sound.

If you haven't noticed, this particular style of American Rock music is based purely around rhythm. guitars & vocals are simply undercurrents for the rhythm section.

But BRANT & SCOTT made KYUSS the monolith that it was.

Actually this concert was taped by a big german network (WDR). The "Rockpalast" show is still airing dozens of big festivals and concerts that take place in Germany every year, perfectly recorded and broadcasted frequently in the free TV. They have recordings of this Kyuss concert with perfect sound and picture. Unfortunately they re not allowed to sell or duplicate those recordings cause the rights still belong to others. Maybe one day one of the ex Kyuss guys will take care and make a DVD
