I don't know if anosmia is inherited or not, but cancer is far different, biological speaking. As a biology, I describe cancer as the uncontrolable growth of preexisting cells that no longer have a mechanism to under go apoptosis - programmed cell death. There are several different reasons why people acquire cancer, which I won't get into. But Christ can heal people from cancer, including inherited diseases such as anosmia. Please don't hate me for having an opinion.

at least they die a happy death. remember, God gave us free will and most of the time, the cancer that stricks us is because of our own mistakes (i.e. you stick an HIV infected needle in your arm, you will get HIV, which may eventually lead to disease such as cancer). So we can't blame God for not healing us but we can ask him for his help - repent - tell him you made a mistake and that you're only a mere human who is prone to mistakes. He will have mercy on you, no matter how sick you are.

That's awesome. I can only hope God heals me. I know healing is a gift we receive by asking, but not by doing. Yet, if we recklessly sin after we are healed, we can have something worse happen to us. I don't know what I'm missing, God has saved my life so many times, and healed me of small things, but the one main thing is still there, the one that threatens my very life with every pump of my heart.
