  • he had a great teacher, enescu which taught him ranges of vibratos, you can hear the different kinds of vibratos, not with heifetz

  • and a great person too

  • What a loss to violin world when yehudi passed away suddenly..Try his heir,Gilles Apap if you like expressive, free playing...

  • This performance is average, his earlier rendition was outstanding. One thing I don't understand is why Yehudi lost his magic at such a young age (after his 20s)

  • @Thecarbolicsmokeball I wondered that too...I heard his bow arm suffered from some disease but yea...i wouldn't say 20s ..but like his quality dropped after 40

  • what is a violinarist?

  • I prefer Itzhaks interpretation to this. He phrases the broken chords, as this guy does not. He does speed up a bit but thats about all. The rest are pretty straight and to me that is just not as interesting

  • I mean, like, is it worth it practise so hard and all you get is that you play your fiddle in bunch of a hall full of fat old stinky farts?

  • @Fanfardon Really it's not worthy if one is like you....

  • VERY NICE 5 STARS ☆☆☆☆☆

    Erika Ragazzi

  • omg arpeggios in Chaconne is so hard

  • What an artist!

  • Ignoramus.

  • The variation of the arpeggios in Bach's Chaconne is me favourite... Here Menuhin does awesome work.. Perlman and Hilary Hahn do great work too on this!!

  • By any chance do you have the whole performance?

  • @violinist102 : please no!
