Arizona has some stunning landscapes and beautiful attractions. Guests are always sharing their vacation pictures with us when they check out. Thanks for sharing this great video!
I've lived here my whole life, and I have to say - from the Mogollon Rim (range of mountains that separates north/south state) and northwards is where you want to be. Phoenix (where I am) in my opinion is very..bland. Dry/hot/poor air quality are also factors you'll find in the Phoenix area- and southwards doesn't have all too much to see either (Tucson is just a smaller Phoenix). But there are cacti, if that's what you're into.. My personal favorite escape is Flagstaff (snow!).
It has beautiful weather. By far one of the "coldest" places in Arizona, due to the elevation, but 4 seasons are very prominent. Summer frequently reaches mid 80s, and winters are cold (30-40F; snow is very common during winter- there is a ski resort on the SF peaks nearby). Spring and fall are brilliant.
So it depends on when you'll be traveling. But if you do happen to travel in the summer, other places in AZ, like Phoenix, can be beastly; 110-120 degrees is not uncommon.
On a side note- there are some "must see" places that you shouldn't miss, like Sedona or the Grand Canyon (duh). Or, the ever-underrated Antelope Canyon, which I found to be stunning. If you're really looking for the "Desert experience", I'd go hiking around the Superstition mountains just East of Phx. Also, Jerome is a neat "ghost town", if you like that stuff. Another cool place you may want to check out (if you ever find yourself near Tucson) is Biosphere 2- It's quite unique.
@mandygollygosh Visit the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum and Saguaro National Park (and perhaps Colossal Cave). If you can make the trek up to Sedona and Jerome, you won't regret it. Take Pink Jeep Tours (the Broken Arrow Trail, you may want to book in advance). Scoot over to Jerome (28 miles W of Sedona) to see a very different city built into a mountain with great shopping and unusual food at The Asylum. Enjoy!

It's the leading state in restrictions to just about everything. Drop a penny wrong in that state and you get the fuck beat out of you by the power hungry cops, while the guys in Sacramento just keep making more restrictions on almost everything. Cept pot lol! @203207ab I just have two questions. 1. If the Indians take back their land in AZ, shouldn't they do the same in CA? 2. Once the Indians take back their land, why would they give it to Mexico? At least they have their tax-free reservations in USA, in Mexico they have nothing...There's good and bad people everywhere, no matter what state or country. I've been to CA, AZ and Mexico, all amazing places with all sorts of people. See the big picture.

Ya AZ does have some pretty places but for some reason they never tell you about the hell like heat I say visit UTAH or COLORADO they have more spectacular places to see and it is comfortable :)

my feeling is that both Arizonians and Mexicans are hurt with SB1070.
My family used to travel for vacation and shopping to US. Im a Mexican citizen have my passport, past years travel to NY and Canada no problems. With SB1070 if any member of family left passports in Hotel or in car and a policeman ask for papers can go to jail. So in order to avoid problems dont travel there. Thats not fear for Arizonians that work for tourism.Arizonians and Mexican dont deserve this (politicians solve it)

Im a Mexican we nomally go to US for tourist and shopping legally. Me and my familly will not visit Arizona in order to avoid any problems considering the SB1070 law. Past years we visit NY then Niagara falls (by the way, Canada side, Toronto and Quebec).In Arizona if we forgot our passport in the hotel or in the car, could have problems Do I need papers on Hotels Pool?.We dont ask for passport to US citizens in Can Cun beach or Los Cabos. To Mexico and US politicians. Better ADD not DIVIDE

If you go to Arizona DON'T TALK TO POLICE.
Even if you are here legally they will arrest you if you cannot prove without a doubt you are.
If you do not speak 100% English with no dialect and are not 100% white then you will be thrown in jail until your family can prove you are here legally.
