  • Yes the question was a bit vulgar, I'm not disagreeing with that. My problem is people who overreact to a problem such as this. They both talked to each other after this 'n Ireland apologies. Is there a such thing as forgiveness? I mean it's not like he kidnapped the guy 'n tortured him. I just don't see your logic in firing Ireland.

  • I respect your opinion but I don't believe the guy should be fired for asking a question. Was the question unethical, absolutely. Was it demeaning, you bet your ass. But was it illegal? No way. I'm a Fins fan and I'm completely embarrassed about the situation. But in no way should he lose his job for asking a question.

  • @squinn17 , it CAN be construed as an illegal act, in that it creates a "hostile working environment" for which they could be sued. And probably even more to the point is all the needless negative press he's brought to that organization. If we're holding players to a higher standard, you better believe a team exec had better be on his P's & Q's. Would he ask an obviously gay guy from the mailroom what positions he likes?! NO, not germane to the job... can't ask it.

  • @ajacqx He couldn't sue for that LOL. R u kidding? What you claim could be true if Bryant was an actually employee of the Miami Dolphins organization. But the reality is that he was merely attending a job interview where he was questioned. Questions and accusations are two completely different things.

  • ajacqx, I understand this type of question should not have been asked. It's like this Ireland made a mistake you know I know it, but he should be fired for asking a question? The only people that seem to make it a big deal is the media. Like I said before Ireland apologies and Dez accepted the apology, where's the problem?

  • @GonnaCsonkaYa000 the problem is in the nature of the question and all its implications. What Ireland has done is put his organization at risk for legal action. He has in effect created a "hostile working environment" for anyone working there who knows about this. Can't ask it.. just like he ask his secretary if she does blow-jobs.

  • IconListening, I'm White 'n I don't think like that at all. This isn't a race issue don't try to make it out to be.

  • ajacqx, trust when I heard that I was very shocked also, but I disagree with you.

If I was getting interviewed for a job that millons of dollars you can ask me anything you want. The question could've been to see a reaction from Dez Braynt if it was positve or negative 'n it was positve. Society has forced people to be overy sensitive to subjects such as this, including myself. I don't think sould've asked the question but I also don't think it's a huge deal as people make out to be.

  • @GonnaCsonkaYa000 1st of all, its okay to disagree. 2ndly, I've been interviewing for years (trained to do it...) for far lesser compensated careers and trust me, you don't ask these kinds of questions. Legally you don't. Too often people, myself included get caught up in the amount of money a job pays or not. But if we just reduce this down to the least common denominator: human decency, individual consideration etc. That'll keep you from making this kind of mistake.

  • IconListening...you sir are one of the biggest racist that I have encountered in quite a long time. I think you could use a year or two of sensitivity classes before you're allowed to post your garbage on YouTube.

  • do you know where i can find a clip or audio

  • SEE THIS KIND OF STUFF HAPPENS CAUSE WHITE PEOPLE REALLY BELIEVE BLACK PEOPLE ARE TRASH AND DIRTY PEOPLE. I THINK THE NFL SHOULD SEND COACHES AND COACHING STAFF TO RACIAL SENSITIVITY CLASS; FOR REAL. COLLEGE COACHES AND STAFF TO. CAUSE ALOT OF THESE WHITE GUYS THAT WORK AS COACHES OR ON THE COACHING STAFF WHITE MALES ALOT OF THEM ARE BIGOTS NOT NECESSARILY RACIST BUT DEFIANTLY BIGOTS. THEY JUST BELIEVE BLACKS ARE BAD; ALOT OF THEM THINK THIS WAY.

  • @IconListening

yo IL, take this in. WHITE PEOPLE didn't ask Dez Bryant that question, this one idiot did. He may have felt emboldened enough to ask it as a result of so much of the kind of double-standard stuff that happens in our society, but ultimately HE is the culprit here. The Dolphins organization and The NFL only secondarily so if they don't act on this. Colin Cowherd is a radio whore... the kind that would admit to The Kennedy assassination for another 10,000 listeners.

  • I HEARD COLIN COWHERD OR AS I LIKE TO CALL HIM "THE ESPN BIGOT" CAUSE LIKE MOST ESPN ANALYST HE HATES BLACK QBs. I HEARD COLIN SAY " IF THE GENERAL MANAGER IS GOING TO GIVE DEZ 50 MILLION HE SHOULD ASK WHATEVER HE WANTS" AND I SAY; NO. THE GENERAL MANAGER IS PAYING DEZ TO PLAY FOOTBALL AND THATS IS ALL HE SHOULD TALK TO DEZ ABOUT IS FOOTBALL AND NOTHING ELSE. DEZ PERSONAL LIFE AND FAMILY BUSINESS IS NOBODIES BUSINESS BUT DEZ BRYANT.

    icon

  • DOES A GENERAL MANAGER HAVE A RIGHT TO ASK THOSE KIND OF QUESTION LIKE " IS YOUR MOTHER A HOOKER" ; NO. A GENERAL MANAGER OF A FOOTBALL TEAM SHOULD ASK YOU QUESTION ABOUT YOUR PHYSICAL HEALTH AND QUESTIONS ABOUT FOOTBALL; THATS IT. DEZ PERSONAL LIFE AND FAMILY BUSINESS IS NONE OF A FOOTBALL TEAMS GENERAL MANAGERS BUSINESS

    icon.

  • fire that asshole.
