  • Dumb

  • So am i right in saying that Afrikaans is a language that white people in south Africa speak? Why do you go to another country and create your own language so stupid.

  • @greasem917 nope... Most coloured people in South Africa speaks Afrikaans as well.

  • Also you're Afrikaans SUCKS.

  • AFRIKAANS IS A LANGUAGE NOT A DIALECT YOU FUCKING DUMBASS!!!!

  • @SuperMissWallace its a dialect in this context because the characters in the play are speaking English with Afrikaans mixed in...

  • Hierdie ou is 'n slapgat

  • uhhhh

afrikaans is not a dialect, it is a language

are you thinking of the south african accent, cause english people in south africa us the same words

  • Is he talking about the South African English or the Afrikaans language?

  • Al dra 'n bobbejaan 'n goue ring, bly hy nog 'n lelike ding !

Ek is deel van n klein groep mense wat Afrikaans kan praat. Ons het ons eie taal!!!

  • Jy's n vokken doos!!!

  • As jy wil weet hoe om afrikaans te praat laat my weet "slapgat" means limp ass directly translated but can be used in may setting. Geniet die dag.

  • Hmm, at the end it sounded as if he pronounced slapgat incorrectly; he got the last A right, but not the first.

Both A's should be pronounced approximately the way that the U is pronounced in "fun" or "under", or the O in "another".

It sounded like he was pronouncing the first A like the E in "hedge".

FYI, slapgat loosely translates to English as "flabby ass". In practise it either means "lazy ass" or "weakling" depending on whether you're referring to the person's attitude or body.

  • worthless

  • Hahahah you sound funny, trying to speak the S.A dialect. Just remember that some sound get pronounced with a round sound.

Like "SLAPGAT" wich means "Useless" gets pronounced sl"A"p (be clear on the A and the P at the end) cause that makes the word. Instead of Sl"I"pgat like you pronounced it.

Work on the words and you'll get it after a while..

  • a bakkie is a truck, not a buggy.

a bak is a bowl, so it would be like an american calling a truck a beddie, referring to the bed of the truck.
