What Filipinoes need to change is their thinking. Corruption is one of the biggest factor to why our country can't reach it's own potential no matter which person you put in the seat of the president. If the people won't change then nothing else will.

what's so frustrating about this reality is that some badjaos, take note, SOME, are unwilling to cooperate with some NGOs and LGUs for outreach programs. some of them don't want to go to school because for them studying cannot make them rich... sigh...

what's sad is the fact that these children really prefer to be going to school than 'working' for their families, and the parents/adults themselves are the ones encouraging them to go and earn some money. they shouldn't be given that responsibility early on. una, kaya pa ng magulang mag-work. pangalawa, let them be children.

on the other hand, sana naman mag-open ng programs ang city para sa mga 'illegal' street workers.

When I wrote this story, I still have doubts on my mind whether I injected the right formula in writing in order to touch the heart of the viewers, but now... with all these recognitions and good reviews from the judges and viewers, I realized that somehow I touched the heart of the audience. This docu is an eye opener that poverty is one of the perennial problems in our country.
