I found this when i was looking for debug keys i saw that bats do 1 damage to raiders so go and change it in the cfg that is why raiders lose 1 health thats why they run from bats there you have it if you want a mod to fix bat damage post a comment back to me and i will get right on it with instructions

@SomeGuyFromCrowd Oh the AI troubles were the best. XD In one of the earlier parts, I believe it was 5 or so, the AI glitched and half the rock raiders picked up ore while the other half followed them around trying to take it from them and it was so glitchy.

@WowOmgStudios What I like to do is build a bunch of Tool Stores around my Power Station and my Support Station, and turn everything else off. Transport Trucks can go right through Tool Stores, as can Rock Raiders. The slugs won't attack buildings that are turned off, because there is no power, and they physically won't be able to get to your vital buildings. Then put your Rock Raiders in crush kill destroy mode. Give them all Pusher beams and press Action Stations. Then drill East. Then Win.

I never finished it (when I was younger I mean), and I gave up when I was 8. I vowed that one day, I would complete it, and I did. It was just as great as I remembered it to be, but it was too easy. Then, I discovered Baz's Mod. It is hard as hell. You know that Rocky Horror wants 50 crystals to win? Well, in Baz's Mod, it wants 350!!!

Plus, the easy energy crystals up north have been removed!

Love the game... but whenever i got a new computer it didn't work. I got the d3dll error (or whatever it was called.) it fixed... but it still now freezes after about 1 1/2 hours of gameplay (obviously not enough to finish a higher level) and after about 5 minutes on frozen frenzy - no matter what. Suggestions?

@TruePaine I have an onboard, i'm using a tower computer not a laptop. I did find out that my d3drm.ll file was from a different game and i replaced it... but it still failed on me. unfortunately i can't see what error it is because visual studios comes up every time and wants to try to fix it instead of closing from an error... (and on all my games i've never once had it actually fix it.)

@TruePaine I believe it came with a scripting program my brother gave me... anyhow i got it to work! i turned game speed down from max to whatever it starts at (4 bars i think?) and played the whole level like that and it worked! i can play any level but frozen frenzy (so far anyhow) on max game speed though. I did find out max game speed + dynamite that hurts tool store + same dynamite that scares/hurts 9 rockraiders at once = insta computer freeze though. lol.

I think its a glitch. Did you see it go near a vehicle that can attack? Well the glitch must of caused the person as an enemy similar to the rock monster you killed in 2:00.

I remeber playing this as a kid.... great times... too bad I can't seem to be able to run it on Windows 7. I think one option could be disabling DirectDraw thingy from directX but I can't do it! There is no disable button, just text saying that directdraw is enabled...

@TruePaine I just tried to start Rock Raiders, and it said that "d3drm.dll is missing" or something like that, so maybe DirectDraw isn't the problem.. I'm not an expert on computers

@SynthPlaysYou Oh I see. All you need to do is search for that file on google, download it, then open Computer, open the hard drive, then the Windows folder, then scroll down and open System32, and then place the file there and it should work.

Hint Hint:

Place Power Paths around the border of the lava on any level and the lava will eat the ground much slower

also when the game shipped it was loaded with so many glitches you cant even count them so that Rock Raider who lost 1 health was just a minor glitch don`t worry

@ecuador78 You have to go into the Advanced Options and turn off the automatic game speed. The advanced options can only be accessed through the Advanced Rock Raiders.exe.

@TruePaine one way to keep RockMonsters out is to completely drill every rock wall in the cavern, they cant come through solid rock

then, clean up all the rubbel in the cavern and use to make a long enough powerpath to the cavern, build a building at the end, then make a electric fence into the cavern where all the EC's are, and around them as well, so then you can collect in piece

@1TomMetal1 Yeah, what you want to do is collect energy crystals until you have about 9 or 10. After you get 10 is when they start spawning so once you reach that point you should pick the rest of the crystals up and instead of collecting them, drop them in the base so that the monsters can't get to them. Do this until you have the 45 required and you should be fine.

@TruePaine i remember it, the hardest level if you ask me. The start point became a battlefield for 12 rock raiders and slugs and monsters, while i created another base deeper inside the cave to collect crystals, 12 Laser ock Raiders, 15 Workers and 1 chrome crusher and 1 loader dozer, and also a Large Mobile laser cutter as a weapon. It was Hell getting past it, all the slugs anooyed me so much i just wanted to take my boot and squash em(probably gonna need a bigger boot XD)

Yeah, Lake of Fire is definitely one of the harder levels. What I usually try to do is work as fast as possible in one area at a time and move on. Possibly teleport down more Rock Raiders than usual before building the Support Station so it gets done faster?

i think the rock raiders lost health because of land slides. i havnt played this in a while. but i remember faintly tht after a rock raider get's landslided on. he loses health every so often. hope this helps :D
