The protagonist should talk, this would ad more atmosphere to the game and give some personality to him in the first place. Would also be in favor of the scare factor.

Now its just some dude going around killing everything in sight. He doesn't even grunt we he gets hurt for gameplay's sake!

@hgalileocm Yes, but that is a natural reaction. If you play a horror game, Amnesia for instance. Then you might find yourself breathing like that everytime you encounter an enemy with a blade for arm and all you can do is run because you have nothing to defend yourself. But in Amnesia you'll find letters and the protagonist has flashbacks wich tell more about him and what he is like.

...In defence of this game though, I've not experienced it in its full glory just yet,

5:10 ouch. btw idk how people are getting nightmares from this. If you are getting nightmares, then don't play/watch the game as if you are holding the gun. Honestly most of the scary parts are jack-in-the-box surprises.

E.X. if someone threw a severed head at you, you would be scared for life because of the fact someone did that, but being the person in the corner watching it can't help but think of saw movies.
