  • IECLB, this church's denomination, has a very strong German (EKD and previous incarnations) heritage. Which includes a strong Reformed/Calvinist influence. So in most parishes you will see the ministers in black gown and tabs week in, week out. Only in a few you can spot alb and stole. I've never seen a chasuble worn in an IECLB parish.

    Quite a difference to IELB (former Missouri Synod mission), where alb and stole is the norm and you can sometimes spot the odd chasuble.

  • Lovely hymn! But why does the female pastor not wear the proper liturgical vestments: alb, stole, cincture and chasuble?
