I'm 10 and I have been learning this song in choir and me and my bestfriend that I stand beside in choir always cry when we sing this D; LOL. annie. You have made my day darlz-3.
Omg we learned this at school, the Scottish weavers would sing it to their weans to get them to sleep, i am actually crying typing this, i never knew Annie sang this. I sang this to all my kids and was wanting to learn the 2nd verse to sing to my baby granddaughter. Thanx soo much for posting this this xx
A very nice rendition of this Scottish Lullaby but please listen to Barbara Dickson's version I believe she has captured its message better.and sounds better by far musically and lyrically
The Corries do a more traditional version sticking to the original melody. Though this is terrific! Great to hear Annie singing songs from Scotland :-)
This was such a favourite song in my original lullabye list... alongside some other wonderful versions. So nice to listen again and enjoy : )

Angus, the Scottish sandman....
I remember being sung off to sleep by my Mum and my Pappy to this as a child.
I try to sing it to my children. Annie brings it alive again for me. Thanks
