Great lookin' country, quite possibly the eastern Sierras somewhere along the John Muir trail/wilderness. Fucked up my back and haven't been able to get out like I used to so thanks for the backdrop and the unbelievable music. Saw these guys on this tour--Aaron actually took the time to chat w/me for a bit. Super genuine guy.
One thing I really love about Isis is that they take their time building each song layer by layer until it reaches it's crescendo. They're not out to make a hit single. What a great fucking band.
@MakerInMotion Agreed. Just a nit though, you don't "reach a crescendo", since crescendo means the act of growing. You could say it reaches its crescendo's peak maybe.
wow man...this song makes me feel at one with the expansive cosmos. it feels good to know that the evil machine can't follow us everywhere, we all have that special place that noone knows...we just have to take the time to discover it.
Building a song like this and make it sense and good sound with progessions has a lot of merit, just love it
