For the record I switched from traditional to compound recently. It's worked out quite well.

Zack Fergusion (Byron's son) makes the most beautiful and fastest traditional bows I have ever seen or shot. By a long shot Byron is the best archer of the modern age. The Z-bow is a cross between a longbow and a recurve. Similar to Byron's patriot series bows. Byron is shooting his signature Royal Safari longbow here.

It's an AFB, also called ALB, american flatbow/american longbow. The english, and most other european longbows have rounded bellies, but the american longbow has a flat belly.

pretty good. he is the best archer i've ever seem. a real archer needs no scopes or gadgets but a plain hand carved bow. i read he got his training one way by sitting in a pitch black room and would practice shooting out the candle flame.
