I think you are right, but it takes an extraordinary amount skill to play as tight as that guy, no matter how simple his rhythms may be. But yes i admit this isnt the most technical song. Try listening to something like bitter pill, or these fighing words

How does Chris Adler suck? Everything he plays is like, dead accurate precision. And he doesn't try to smother (sp?) a song with insane double bass beats, he can keep it simple at times. Everything fits into the songs though, that's what makes him a great drummer.
