You're missing the fact that between the drums, bass and keys there is always someone holding down something constant ...And, Tal is together w/Colaiuta at times ...However, this arrangement is intended to free up most of the players to stretch out ...In fact, you wouldn't want to stay w/Colaiuta all the time as he gets outside from time to time, as well.

Undeniable talent regardless of gender. Has very obviously put in the hard yards and has a natural feel for the pocket. The whole "hey she's hot thing" to me just shows how uncomfortable some dudes are with a female being a better player. Otherwise why bring it up? Wilkenfeld is a down to earth modest person. the thing about jeff is that even though what he did all in the past is fantastic, you prefer to see and hear him NOW. his playing is always one step beyond everyone else. if there's one guitarist who is always upgrading, it's Jeff Beck. Even his playing of old tunes sound new every time.

When I first saw her backstage on the DVD I thought she was one of the guys kids traveling with them, she didn't look more than 16. When I saw her pick up the bass, I knew she had to be top of the line, Jeff doesn't play with slouches. I just wanted to find out who she was. Now I know.., she a great talent.
