I think most of his stuff is over done. It is really only a matter of personal likes. I am glad he is there for those who like that style, and think every note in a song has to be a big one. Whether in conversasion, or song, I don't like getting hollered at.

David sings beautiful, however IMHO, There is something quite unique about guy. The anointing on that man's life is so strong. The passion with which he sings is out of a deep relationship with the Lord. Truly an act of worship! Every time I hear David sing I am blown away by the amazing voice he has but when I hear Guy sings it penetrates my heart and leads me into worship.

You really hear it in their acapella version of this song. I'm okay with Michael English, but Penrod is way better with Phelps I think..But hands down DP is the greatest singer to have ever walked the earth

@hoover4000 i believe so. it's just hard to sing in tenor or soprano with such high notes in a minimized voice. =) I hope royalcoat1 would try to sing a very high note on an average volume if he can (without sounding bad, knowing you have to suppress a lot of air and pressure if you do it). it's not about liking or loving David Phelps. I hope you can just feel God's presence just by hearing him sing.

I know if I paid for a ticket to hear David sing, I would want him to give his all in praise to God.
