Unlike 3g/bluetooth that are constantly looking for signals, just having GPS enabled on your phone does not drain any extra battery. It only drains more when an app is actively using it.
Mobile Defense only enables the gps after you go to the web site and connect to your phone.
i think the app will still runs, but if someone has data network blocked. then they are freely to use the phone and no data sent out until they are conected to a wifi network. hehehe
