I am using the demo version of Camtasia. I had wanted to use Jing, which is free, but the free version only saves as SWF which can't be posted to youtube, or really edited in any easy way. There are a number of SWF converters out there, but none of them gave satisfactory results.
Camtasia really is a sweet piece of software. I wish I could afford the $300 price tag.
I am definitely looking forward to further installments.
I'm curious, do the colors you pick at this stage matter? Is it only important that the values contrast enough so as to avoid similarity or repetition or at these just placeholders that will be adjusted or swapped out later?
The colors matter to a degree, yes. As I begin building up color, and borrowing reflected color from adjoining areas, then my ability to do something as simple as to use the hue slider in Photoshop becomes increasingly difficult. Colors can do some very unexpected things, especially as you get farther from the midtones.
Kieth, your voice sounds EXACTLY as I imagined it.

Forgot to ask:
What programs are you putting this together in with respect to recording?
