@Canyoudeal99 Hi - no, Thorndike did research with animals and argued that they learned gradually from the consequences of their behaviour. This was the "law of effect": behaviours that are followed by positive consequences are more likely to be repeated, whereas negative consequences reduce the likelihood of a behaviour being repeated. Thorndike published a book, "Animal Intelligence", which can be found at the website "Classics in the history of Psychology".
