So.Your voice wont peg out the 200 w scale but voice will hit 350+ on the 4000 w scale.LOL. If your going to go in the meter and "adjust" the 4000 watt scale,raise the 200 watt as well. 70 watt key on 200 side and then a 90+ watt key on 4000 side makes you look like a Golden Screw Driver. Now go ahead and delete this before anyone else sees it!

Hey man, Nice radio you built. I've got a few questions for ya. I'm getting a truck here soon and I'm planning what I'm gonna put in it. I already know I'm gonna put a Galaxy 98VHP in it but I'm still not sure about the antenna though. I want a antenna that'll hear and transmit in my area very well. I don't wanna just hear across town, I wanna hear miles away! What antenna would match what I'm wanting and how would I mount it for the best results? Thanks and MERRY CHRISTMAS!

@performancemiles You didnt tell me what kind of truck lol there is a lot of different antennas out there you can never go wrong with a Wilson they make good antennas but until you say what truck man thats the best I can tell you because there are so many out there usually you just take of factory antennas and mount your new one in the same place, main thing you want too make sure is you got a good ground...

Yes, I agree completely. I hate roger beeps, pre-beeps and all that stuff. Echo is annoying if not setup properly. Most echo sounds awful. I too often don't reply to folks with beeps and echo myself.
