This model Honda is the best in portable generator technology IMO. I installed a few of these set ups with the portable gen and Honda's the leader as far as portable generators go.
Well, you can-you just have to make your own wire and adapt the 3 wire, 3 prong male plug to a 4 prong standard female plug. A length of 10/3 wire, 3 prong twist lock male plug and 4 prong female twist lock is what you need. Jump the X & Y leads with a black length of the same gauge wire your cord is. You can NOT use this on 240 and should ensure that you at no time try to power too big a load. I've done this and keep all 240v breakers OFF when doing so to ensure safety.

a quality generator, quiet, and fuel efficient. But very expensive!!!!!!!!!
