  • I was thinking about getting a new pin/ring for my k31 so I can keep the original but trim reshape the replacement to make it more face friendly... I was also thinking of getting a new stock to shape and restoring the old one.

  • Great vid! do you reload for this?

if so do you neck or full size.

Just picked up one and looking forward to trying it out.

Only 1 place in 25 miles had any ammo (1 Box) so I know I will be reloading...

  • reason the Swiss did not fight in ww2 was not because of the K31. you could say it was because everyone had a gun (not the type of gun), the terrain, snow, preparation for war, not mention banking. just stick to guessing about how guns work and not history.

  • This rifle is the reason that Switzerland wasn't invaded by the Nazi's.

These straight pull Swiss rifles are some of the finest C&R milsurps out there.

  • Have you considered rotating your scope a tad clockwise to center the scope over the barrel when the reticle is horizontal? Thats how the Russians set up the Mosin snipers. Love your vids by the way , keep up the good work!!

  • Well this riffle was used well beyond the seventies. In 1958, the army just started to replace it through the Stgw 57 in combat units, but some support units, composed of older men (Landwehr and Landsturm, men aged between 32 and 50) never got an assault riffle.

My father was trained in 1958 and still got this riffle, because he was a machine gunner. He got the Stgw 57 a few years later.

  • AWESOME DUDE!! that video makes me so proud to be swiss :-)

i shot these karabiner 31 a lot when i was younger, befor i got my sig550 from military! i think they are extremly accurate for these days they were build in. in switzerland you can buy these in every gunstore for arround 150.-swiss francs. and you dont need a "weaponlicence" for it.

thanks for sharing and keep up the great work!

    greetings from switzerland....

  • What Iraqveteran means when he says that every man was a rifleman and were feared as such is that every swiss male did 1 year manditory service in the military and remained as reservists for a number of years. The swiss even during the WWI and WWII had well trianed and highly profesional conscript army with large reserves that could be mobilized very quickly.

  • "There's a reason that (the Swiss) didn't have to fight in WW2, and the K31 is it."

I'm sorry, that's not how it works. No matter how much people will it otherwise, war is political these days.

  • the reason why switzerland wasn't attacked in ww2 was because we laundered hitler's money. however there was a plan to invade switzerland: "Operation Tannenbaum"

  • Just wanted to say that I'm really enjoying your videos. I'm in the process of getting my 03 FFL so I can easily get C&R rifles, and your videos are an excellent resource. Thanks!

  • These rifles make a Mosin Nagant look like a Century Arms Wasr 10.

  • So does this mean all modern made custom made heavy free floated barrels with night force scopes and modern handloads are no match for this rifle?

  • @semiautoriflelover I never said it was the best rifle in the world hands down, but from a standpoint of having 300 bucks burning a hole in your pocket you won't find a better shooting rifle for the money. At least one that is as much fun to shoot as these are. Asthetics and cool factor count for something still, don't they?

  • @Iraqveteran8888 I'm going to buy one in 2 weeks at a gun show but I'm getting a little sick of hearing guys talking shit about my remington model 700 hbar barrel free floated in .22-250, my rifle with me firing it will go against any classic rifle, it usually is under half inch groups. You hear the guys saying " you can't buy accuracy" etc. Of course you can, buy a free floated $500 barrel for a remington 700 and there you go. A .338 Lapua magnum round in Barrett will kill easier at 1000.

  • @semiautoriflelover You are taking what I am saying the wrong way. Of course a modern rifle is going to be more accurate, especially if you dump big bucks on a good rifle. That's not what the argument in question is about. Surplus rifles are full of history, often very capable in terms of accuracy, and just fun to shoot. With that being said, I'd trust my life with a quality surplus gun.

  • @Iraqveteran8888 I'm sorry, I wasn't really talking about anything you were saying at all, I was still ranting from another guys video where he was claiming "real men shoot iron sights" and " modern rifles are no match for the classics with accuracy, and he said you "can't buy accuracy". I think with new rifles you will get more consistent accuracy without the stringing of shots from a thin barrel etc. I can work a handload for any new rifle and get great groups.

  • @semiautoriflelover you can buy accuracy. most gun brands there days have a MOA or less factory guarentee. ofcourse remington doesnt, thier lagging behind. people talk shit about remington because these days.. for the same money or less you can buy a better rifle. especailly the Tikka T3 or Thompson Center Ventures or Weatherby Vangaurd Mk2 all with moa gaurentees

  • @Iraqveteran8888 Great overview, I was having flash backs from comments I was reading on another video. It wasn't anything you said at all.

  • @Iraqveteran8888 Hello from Switzerland! I have my fathers K31. Dad provided military service with this rifle from 1948 to 1978, shot thousands of GP11 and also many rifle grenades, carried his rifle through dirt and snow and it still has the first barrel. The rifle is still very accurate, I shoot from time to time with it. To hit a 20 cm target with this gun at a distance of 300 meters is not a masterpiece. I told my father of your video. He is very pleased! Regards

  • Thanks for the advice guys.I just picked up a beech wood K31 with matching bayonet a couple months ago. It is one of my best shooters. Cant wait to go deer hunting with it. Thanks guys.

  • do you hunt with this rifle

  • Thank good someone sticks up for my country men, im sick of people giving me shit for my grandads not having to fight in ww2 but i can assure you they had to guard those borders day and night and this talk of no ground support of air support is absulute crap cause we have a very rich history of the swiss airforce. Thanks again for cuting our country a bit of slack.

Where did you buy the k31 by the way?

  • What can you tell me about the swiss k 3 .

  • The reason the germans didnt invade switzerland was because it was have cost to many resources to capture it like many people have said in this video it would not of been worth it..

  • i agree that its the most interesting and man i mean it too! i still have items to donate to you including some hornady boxer primed k31 once fired brass. ii know you're busy sending replies but i deleted my old username im now jimbobsports.

  • Quick question. I'm looking at a variety of battle rifles for a purchase, however I can't find a K31. How does the 1911 swiss compare to this one?

  • i really want one of these, how much would your average k31 go for(i need it to be in all around good condition)

  • Comment removed

  • I remember reading a little anecdote (almost certainly apocryphal) from WW1.

It was that at the opening of the war, the Triple Alliance had threatened to invade Switzerland with an army of 1 000 000 men, to Switzerlands 200 000. A Prussian General asked a Swiss diplomat what Switzerlands course of action would be as they were so badly outnumbered. His reply was that the army would march to the border, and each Swiss soldier would take 5 shots then go home. The rest is history.

    Great rifle.

  • @No1118117 hahaha AWESOME

  • @No1118117 I heard the same story back home it's a well known joke:)

  • @No1118117 Good stuff!

  • the reason the swiss didn't fight in WWII is because the krauts had their cash and gold their, and the country is on top of a freakin' snow capped mountain. I have one of these myself, the straight pull idea- a flip of a thing. how might a fellow find the year of his gun?

  • Good on the Swiss !!! the only thing that stops a murderer is a gun barrel pointed at their head !!!!!

  • gonner212, The Swiss maintained neutrality in large part because the Axis felt the casualty count would not justify and invasion. The Swiss knew how to use the high ground. They knew the terrain. They were trained marksmen. The situation would be similar to Sparta holding off Persia. 300 vs 1,000,000. Same thing with Japan. As one Japanese general remarked there would be an American marksman behind every blade of grass! Having trained civilians is worth something.

  • Just got a K31. Can't wait to take it out. I did buy the incorrect dies. For the K31 you need the Hornady or Redding specifically made for the K31 chamber size. M1911 chamber size pushes the shoulder back and may cause light primer strikes as firing pin pushes cartridge forward. Rats! Those dies are expensive.

  • i dont think the swiss ever used a traditional bolt action 1885, 1911, k31, and now the blazer

  • i wouldnt a cheap good solid shooter and im going to a gun show in a week and i was planing on buying a stey m95 but now you got me torn which do you like better and why

  • Iraqveteran I was planning on getting a good hunting rifle, and I was wondering if the Schmidt Rubin would be a good choice to get for using its iron sights at ranges of up to 300 yards?

  • @GunGod777 Absolutely...300 yards is childs play for these rifles.

  • @Iraqveteran8888 Thanks man, what kind of groupings do you think it will get with open sights at 300 yards.

  • if you buy one, don't be suprised if the shotpattern is a lllittle high. the markings on the rear sight are in meters (1 yard equals 0.9144 meter). In addition in older days the guys shot in a way called "fleckschuss". it means that they aimed in at the upper 1/3 of the target.

  • @Iraqveteran8888 were i can get one of this?

  • @Iraqveteran8888 Thanks man, by the way i need your expert advice. What would you rather get a very good condition beech wood schmidt rubin with a matching bayonet or a very good walnut schmidt rubin.

  • @GunGod777 My son and I have this rifle 450 yd kill last fall...he got his first Buck, one shot one kill. I absolutely recommend this rifle without one reservation.

  • @GunGod777 Great Gun just used mine for hunting deer. Shot a buck at about 200 yards. No problems deadly accurate. Get a scope mount is even better.

  • @GunGod777 A good choice for a hunting rifle: Hornady makes SP rounds, you can reload the Swiss 7.5 with standard 308 bullets (usually). Slug your barrel and measure your barrel lands, you should be able to buy really decent 308 HP or SP bullets and load your gun for accuracy. Look on the web to see what others recommend.

A St Marie "bolt on" scope mount is a great addition, a 40mm scope bell and medium mounts work well.

Do yourself a favor and buy a Limbsaver slip-on butt pad! Good hunting!

  • hello there, can you show us how you installed that scope to the k31, need some info about the scope base you used.

  • Prices have gone way up on K31s in the last few years as people have learned about them and surplus has dried up. If you want one, get one now. Picked up a pristine '44 (zero stock wear) at Cabela's the other day with a full accessory kit and bayonet - $350. Just a few years ago that would have been a little over $100.

  • check out ,,k31 part 2,,

  • The K31 was the reason that Switzerland didnt join WW2? I know youre a gun guy and all. But seriously add a couple of secondary school level history books to your library of reloader charts. It wouldnt have mattered whether the Swiss army was armed with Krags or G36s The Germans were always going to respect their borders. That is just the politics of the day. But if they hadnt. The K31 wouldnt have made the slightest difference. Remember BEF with the No3? Great rifle but no armour or air support

  • @gonner212 Well I wasn't really get at that all together so to speak. Of course the RIFLE didn't keep Switzerland out of WW2...I meant more or less that the Germans knew the training and capabilities that the Swiss had afforded to them by their neutrality. The Germans knew that every man was a rifleman and that every avenue was pre-registered for Mortars, Artillery, and not to mention land mines. But to say the Germans didn't want Switzerland is crazy...Of course they wanted it...

  • @Iraqveteran8888 Switzerland was not neutral during the war. Their manufacturing base was tasked to aid in supply of the German army. Mainly highly technical components. But the main reason for the Nazis not invading was the Banking structure. Hitler was a nutcase but he wouldnt hurt his own pocket. Germany needed the neutral banks to siphon money in and out during the war. Without Switzerland as a supposedly neutral country Germany would have had no access to these markets.

  • @gonner212 Furthermore youve got this Thermopile wet dream about the Swiss defences. Swiss riflemen becoming Spartan warriors holding thousands with a single platoon. I'll put this down to a boyish sensibilities but seriously. If the Germans had've turned a single Army against Switzerland, there would have been no contest.

  • @Iraqveteran8888 yah seeing as the swizz had all their men riflemen in the country.. the k31 is one of the.. millions of reasons :p

  • @Iraqveteran8888

WW 2, somewhere at the Swiss - German border: A German general asked the Swiss commander in chief general Henry Guisan: " So, you have 500.000 soldiers. What do you do if I am attacking with 1.000.000 soldiers"? General Guisan: " Well, all my soldiers have to shoot twice"!

This is a small anecdote, which the Swiss soldiers during the siege by the Axis Powers told to each other.

With the K11 and K31 in their hands!

  • @gonner212 "Politics of the day" ...You mean the Germans trying to take over all of Europe and eventually the World? lol

  • @Iraqveteran8888 News flash. The Germans weren't trying to take over the entire world. They ALMOST saved the world from the same jews who are wrecking it today. These jews are the ones running our banks, our govt, etc. They are the ones behind attacks like 911, 7/7, OKC and many more. When the jew communists took over Russia, they murdered 50+ million people, and they're about to do the same here in the US. Might want to learn some truth before making comments like that. SubvertedNation (dotnet)

  • @911wasjews You need to shoot yourself.

  • @Kylef7735 Don't be mad jew. It's just the facts. Why do you think so many countries joined Germany in their plight? Even General Patton realized what had happened after WWII, he wanted to carry on and kick the jew (Russian) communists asses, but he didn't realize Eisenhower, Roosenfelt, Churchill and everyone else around him were jews. When he figured it out, he called them disgusting insects for refusing to use a latrine and crapping on the floor instead! Subverted Nation (dot net)

  • @911wasjews I stand by my previous statement.

  • @Kylef7735 Then come fkin do it jew. You think you people can run around committing genocide like the 60 million you jews killed in Russia, the 10 million you starved to death in the Ukraine, or the 3 million murdered in Armenia, and still call yourselves "victims" of some fake holocaust? To top it off, you want to come on here and say I should be killed for catching your nasty rat asses at your crimes? COME DO IT CHUMP. America and the world are sick of you rats, and soon you WILL PAY.

  • @911wasjews Haha, if i wouldnt get in trouble, i would blow you away.

But untill Wrol, You live unhindered.

Watch out then, cause youll be one of the first to go.

  • @Kylef7735 Haha...typical jew. Can't face anybody head on, can't do anything for yourself. Don't make idle threats. If you're going to do something, step the fuck up and do it. You don't fucking scare me. I'll take out dozens of you kikes before you even get close enough to touch me. You think I'm the only one you'll have to worry about? HAHAHA...joke's on you sucker. Your time is shorter than you think demonic baby raping kike.

  • @911wasjews Dude, youre freaking messed up.

Its a good thing this is on the internet, cause you wouldnt be able to say this crap in the real world.

  • @Kylef7735 Really? I say this everywhere I go, and guess what? Most of the population cant' stand jews, so it goes over real well. The walls are closing in on you, so deal with it. You're lucky it's the internet because if you make your pathetic threats to my face, I would have zero problem killing you on the spot kike. Rot in hell you baby raping nation wrecking swine.

  • @gonner212 the reason Germany didn't invade Switzerland was because they needed the planes for the battle of Britain

  • my k31 is from 1942 and it has a beechwood stock. lol but i really like your videos. how long have you been shooting your k31's?

  • @SuperEvanp Did you check to make sure the stock's serial number matches the action?

I love my K31s and I caught the bug for them about 6 years ago. Been shooting them ever since.

  • @Iraqveteran8888 I'm a proud future Swiss soldier (i'm leaving for millitary service in June). I just wanted to thank you for giving credit to the Swiss riflemen. A lot of people do give us a hard time. It's my favourite rifle.

  • Swiss rifles are boring. They always hit the target.

  • Your videos have really pushed me to buy this rifle. I was initially on the fence, so I checked for videos on here, and searched around a bit, but yeah, your videos gave me the final push. Ordering from Samco Global. This should be very interesting...

  • Let me know how you like it.

  • @Iraqveteran8888 Shot it today. That thing kicks hard. But after I started using some support and the sling, it definitely started feeling better. But yeah, had it up against a Yugo Mauser and a M44 Mosin, and it shot the best. I can see why you love this rifle.

  • did you do any reconditioning on these guns... the walnut stock one looks really good... and also... where did you get them and how much did you pay if you dont mind me asking... i found a site but i kinda wanna shop around for one of these... ( i have a mosin nagant and it got me started on these old guns... im now looking for k31s, lee enfields and k98k and k98a mausers)

  • @vvSmokervv

I got both of these from Samco Global Arms and they are both as from the importer and untouched in terms of refinishing. I paid like $230 for the Walnut and $199 for the Beechwood, but thats been awhile. I am sure they have gone up in price.

  • really good job dude! im swiss and im shooting the 1911 Longrifle 30cm longer than k31.

  • @theforsaken67

I love the 1911...I had one but got rid of it like a moron.

  • why hasnt this style been adopted more? im prolly gonna get a big retort from someone for this but i think this is the greatest bolt action ever made

  • I don't know about the greatest ever made but I would say the best of WW2.

  • i love my k31 to death but honestly i disagree with you on the field readyness, the bolt is a derbis magnet in what i have seen, i cant w8 till i find one with a trashed stock to coustomize it

  • No more prone to debris than any other rifle...

  • from what i hear the production cost of this rifle in the us today would be over $1000 and thats why you dont see this action used as much as the mauser action in sporting rifles thats just what i hear. as far as customizin i got my custom stock at richards microfit, i waited 10 months for it and it was$250 and it wasnt even close to being fully inlayed. pleas dont cut a k31 stock even if its trshd. you can find new military k31 stocks at boyds for cutting up. hope that helps you out.

  • Just watched all your videos on everything you have and have purchased a nagant and k31. Thanks for the input and videos. Vet to vet "Great Job"

  • Thanks for watching....glad you like it, and also thanks for your service.

  • I have the early model schmidt-rubin. Can you suggest a source for ammo for that particular rifle?

  • the 1889?

  • sportsmans guide has a supply of 7.5x55... also .303 and other calibers for these old rifles.

  • my steel st marie is realy eating my scope on ejection but my aluminum one is fine(i think the short one is steel and long is alum). any ideas on how to fix this or protect my scope. great videos!

  • There really isn't any way to remedy the problem other than buying sturdy rings...Thankfully, my St. Marie scope mount doesn't marr up the brass too bad. I usually pick each one up out of the chamber after firing, but in a combat situation, it would work good enough.

  • I made a scope protector for my K31 using a piece of plastic from a black anti-freeze jug. I used 2 small black zip ties to secure it to the bottom and side if the scope. It fits very well and since its black like the scope you hardly know its there.

  • thats a great idea think ill try it

  • Had the same problem with mine, went to wal*mart got a roll of camo duct tape wrapped up the scope, camo's and protects it from ejecting brass all at once.

  • hey thats a great idea! ill try that one on my sporter. dont worry its not permanently modfied. it has a richards microfit monte carlo stock. its a real tack driver and its comfortable to carry w the scope off to the right side.i hope to post a video review of it when i get more computer savy.

  • Great vid! I didn't know Americans (I'm swiss) had interest in this rifle...but that's right it's a very good one. In fact, since 2009, I've stop using my SIG-550 (Fass90) and switch to K31 set up with dioptre and ring (scopes are forbidden in shooting range). Pleasure was gone with the SIG-550 but is back with the Mq31.

  • @cedcad im a yankee obsessed with it i have 5 walnut stocked k31s, when i see one i have to buy it. you guys made the finest rifle ever in my opinion. why are scopes forbidden at your shooting range? also i noticed you called it a Mq31

  • I love those diopter sights...Very nicely made. Precision made just like the rifles themselves.

The Swiss outdo themselves with everything they make... :)

  • I have one, (Live in Maine USA) a 1950 model with the beech stock, all serial numbers match up, was issued to a guy named Harry Von Wartburg, and he mustt have taken VERY good care of it, it's handsdown the nicest one I have ever seen, the chamber and bore look brand new along with the rest of it's parts.

  • I've got one on the way.

  • This is my favorite rifle. I love, love this gun. I have one in subperb condition in beechwood.

Bought my son a Swiss 1911 for his graduation. The swiss knew how to do it right.

    Good vid.

    5/5!

  • Man I love the 1911 Infantry Rifle just as much! I had one, but I sold it. I regret that choice to this day! Same thing with my practically museum quality Velezuelan Fn-49 in 7mm!

  • How many costs a K11 or K31 in USA? Here in Switzerland you can have one around 150-400 Swiss Franks, (145-385$)

but if this is a Sniper or Diopter version, it is more expensive.

And what about a Sig P-210 or a Sig 510?

  • @m1garand44

K11 is around $300-$350, A k31 is around $200-$500 depends on condition, year of manufacturer, and whether or not it has a troop tag.

The Diopter and Sniper versions bring a huge premium here.

  • What round does that shoot. Also how much can you pick one up for.

  • 7.5x55mm Swiss...They run about 250-300 depending where you buy. Certain examples can run as high as 500 and up.

  • yeah k31 10/10 =)

  • I love this rifle, i myself am a lefty and find this gun to be the easiest to cycle with no problem or feeling awkward doing it.

  • have you pulled your butt plates? theres usually a card under there with the name and address of who the rifle was issued to.

  • That is covered in part 2, but yes, both my rifles have the the troop tag is memory serves me.

I may make a video just for fun about the subject.

  • great video, don't know how I missed this one. It sure is a great shooter, very accurate. Thanks for the video and your service!

  • YAY! someone outside of switzerland who knows the K31 :)

In switzerland you can have these dirt cheap... prices start at 30 swiss francs (28 USD)

Where did you get this scopemount?

  • My respect goes to the Swiss for sure...

The K31 is a fine peice of work, but then again, I've never seen anything Swiss made that wasn't good quality! The Scope Mount is a St. Marie and was purchased from Midway Usa.

  • u know your stuff

  • I try man

  • Great vid! I love the K31!

    "... interesting and lucrative..." Lucrative?

Anyway, thank you for putting so much work into your posts. I think they help a lot of people. Take care!

  • I used the wrong words. I think "Swiss ace in the hole" may have been a more appropriate term, although the Swiss government are raking in pretty decent selling these as surplus.

Each rifle cost about 40 francs to produce.

  • yeah, hitler was crazy enough to invade the soviet union.....he wasn't crazy enough to invade switzerland.....

  • I actually got a Ross MkII***. Picking it up tomorrow (cause California hates gun owners). Full military condition, and if that wasn't good enough it's in .280 Ross.

  • Lucky devil!

I'd love to own a Ross straight pull. I personally think the design is pretty clever...They just messed up a little bit by integrating such complicated engineering into the bolt design.

It seems that straight pull rifle suffer the most from over engineering.

As a target and sporting the rifle...The Ross is awesome, but as a military rifle, I'd look elsewere.

  • After getting it home, I can understand the frustration the CEF had. The bolt is complicated to get back in after removal and while disassembling for cleaning it had a crap load of small parts, but I never had as much fun disassembling a rifle before. :D

  • I hear you there!

I'd love to see a range video!

I'f you'd like, I could see about loading you up some ammo. I'm fairly certain .260 can be formed from .30-06....I'll check.

  • Correction...280 Ross.

  • I would LOVE if you could load up some ammo, that way I can get some dies made. :D I would also be glad to make you such a video, especially if you loaded some bullets for me.

From what I've researched, it can be formed from 300 H&H, 7mm Remington Magnum, or .300 Remington Ultra Magnum.

  • Sounds good. For starters, slug the barrel to see what diameter bullet I need to cast. and I need to see if I have the right mold. May have to have a special one cut...

Sounds like a fun project, but bear with me...I have a few fires burning at the moment that need to be dealt with first.

  • Will do.

Believe me, I'll bear with you all you like I'm honestly glad you volunteered.

  • I might be able to swage down a 7mm cast bullet to shoot from your .280, but i'll have to look.

Pm me when you get time and we'll hash out some details.

  • SWEET!!!

  • I bought an excellent condition K-31 several months ago. 100% blueing and the walnut stock is in excellent condition also. It was a police issue rifle so it did not have the characteristic stock wear like the ones issued to infantry.

One question though. Should I be using light oil or grease for bolt lubrication?

  • wow, you got a good deal! sadly, im not an effecianado on guncare, considering i dont OWN one myself, but i've handled them, so i cant help you with your lubrication problem :(

  • In terms of oil, I like to use either Remoil, Nano Kroil, or FP-10.

The Swiss issued an oil that similar to a grease, but you have to consider they operated in cold weather, so their lube was probably more like our LSA.

  • I shot a gold medal at Camp Perry in the National Vintage Match last week with my K31. Super accurate and fun to shoot.

  • Always wanted one....almost bought one. Isn't the ammo hard to get?

  • Nice rifles! These are really accurate and well made rifles. They're quite popular overhere in Belgium and also relatively cheap.

  • Nice...They are very nice rifles...The best milsurp besides the Garand in my opinion. The Swedish Mauser isn't far from these in terms of accuracy and quality. The Persian Mausers definitely deserve honorable mention.

  • Duke?

  • Sorry...I'm not sure what you are asking?

  • I also got the swiss flu. Bought 3 k31s. Hopefully going to use it in some CMP matches.

  • Wait until you see part 2 of this series...I have a match winning load for you...

  • I'd love to shoot one of these.

  • Come on when you're ready. I've already had one youtuber come down and shoot with me...

  • good point. the german general staff stated that if they had invaded the swiss the would have lost an army group.the swiss are like the finns good soldiers since the 1500s

  • Oh yeah!

    The Germans knew better!

    The Swiss don't play!

  • Plus even Hitler knew a 3 front war was not a good idea, esp when the swiss could field a 500,000 army in no time since they keep there equipment and weapons, ammo at home. The passes are still mined to this day and also motor and artillary was mapped and sectored.

Don't see anyone invading there country with boots on the ground.

  • Hell no...Hitler knew better above all...I agree.

  • I want to get me a K31.

  • Yes you do.... :)

  • nice video... I mounted SCHMIDT-RUBIN K31 DIOPTER SIGHT's on mine.

  • I've wanted to pick out a nice 1957-1958 K31 and mount a pair of Diopter sights on it, I just haven't had the extra dough. The scope mount is a good cheap solution for the K31, but ultimately, I do prefer the Diopters!

  • Great vid man, good info! I might be interested in this type of mount set up, so I will be awaiting part 2. Handloading as well. Nice rifles. I have 2 of my own, and IMO, they ARE the MOST accurate milsurp rifle you can find. Well built, and the GP11 milsurp stuff is match grade accurate too.

  • Having some formatting issues with part 2. It should be up tomorrow... :(

  • tipton gun vice

  • Worth every penny.

  • Your walnut K31 is absolutely beautiful. Mine is a 1937 thats pretty dinged up, and has a huge chunk taken out of the toe. I could repair the toe if I had a spare piece of walnut laying around a refinish the stock, but I really can't justify it. The blueing is also worn on the receiver, but as always, these rifles can shoot, and mine shoots pretty good.

  • Thanks man. Part 2 wont be up likely until tomorrow... :(

Part 2 has one of my best groups shown.

Ive never shot a K31 that was not at least decently accurate.

  • Nice. Just what I needed. Thanks
