honestly man, I like the 98-02 LS1's the best... New camaro's are great but everybody and their mama has one, the older F-bodys are not seen as much, which is why I love my '00 Trans Am WS6. I love it when I drive 100 miles and don't dare see a car even close to mine :)

(IN MY OPINION) get red- thats what i will get. Its bad ass (especially in person). Silver is ok. The dark blue looks like trash. yellow is too bold and bright, black you cant see the bottom air intake so it looks like the mouth is missing from the camaro's face. White is cool but gets dirty fast. Gray is cool but is the same color as the road and you dont want people pullin out and smashin up your new camaro do you?

@1aceves i wouldnt waste the money granted they are stylish, my 97 firebird 3.8L v6 with about $1000 worth of perf. parts runs a 0-60 in 6 sec which is only 1 second slower than this 32,000+ dollar car, if you want it for style you got it but if your going for power hell you could even get a v6 like mine dump about 4 grand in upgrades and still have less then a third of the price of a new camaro invested in something faster.....just sayin

You do know that a bmw 325 of the same year will do similiar if not the same performance. On the side note, the camaro looks astonishing, along with the challenger the design beats any kind of european "bulky car" look (talking about new bmws, VWs etc..) The camaro is something special :)

automatic is the way to go with burnouts, yeah it can be done on manuals but slipping the clutch and grabbing the brake pedal can be a bitch. with auto, hold brake on full and smash gas. (make sure rear wheel drive too, fwd with this method does not work since the wheels will over power the brakes.) also make sure traction control is off or it will stumble and wont spin them (power addor's not included :P) and then if it does not, get some oil or bleach. then it really will xD

I'm a huge GM fan, and I love the LS V8 aluminum small blocks, but I think Ford made the better all around car this year.

Maybe not quite as much muscle as the Camaro and Challenger, but it's a more complete package.

I don't care whose favorite is what, and who thinks which is best, I'm just glad we actually got to a second muscle car war, even if it may be short lived.

No, 69 he was not shifting. That was the rev limiter. A tricky little device that keeps the pistons from blowing out of the engine block when the engine reaches its maximum RPM. It works by cutting off the fuel until the revs drop.

You know nothing. The GTO was given the green light by Bob Lutz as a way to reinvigorate interest in GM performance vehicles, but GM's marketing department pretty much destroyed any potential the GTO had. They refused to market it under the term "muscle car", for example.

The Lotus Elise weighs 1,984 lbs, has leather seats, power windows, a radio, and outhandles at out accelerates the S2k.

Now I'm not sure, but I think less weight, and more power equals...faster? Yeah, I think that's right. The S2k has only 237hp, which even if it is more than a Lotus, still means it's carrying an extra 700 pounds.

Who cares about straight line power anyway? The S2k is for handling.
