  • While the clarinettist definitely has technique and ideas, I can't really say that much about his sound - too rough and edgy for my taste.

  • This was written in 1927 by pianist Lil Hardin, Louis Armsrong's wife. He recorded it in 1927 with his Hot Five.

    I enjoyed this version, so thankyou, Mister Drummer-Man, John Petters!!

  • Wild Bill rocks: he could drive any group. What a legacy, that is, Condon, Freeman, Bix, etc.
