  • typical Deutsch! meckern meckern und wieder meckern!

and that "crappy rectangle around the icons" is a plasmoid you can eliminate from your desktop just like any other, no need to revert to folder view :P

  • you have quote an english accent and not a gemran accent o.o' I am gonna switch from XP to 11.2 KDE4 tomorro, to test if it runs superb

  • @Yoshihhhh For me, Linux is nice, but i wouldnt like it as my base OS, to much difficulty for me as a basic-intermediate user. But when I get a new comp i might get ubuntu =)

  • The opensus ati drivers are garbage, they are too bright and hurts my eyes, and there in no brightness control.back to windows.

  • this is true !! (ati drivers are garbage ) users with

nvidia (video card) in linux is very happy !!

  • Well my desktop computer has nvidia drivers and they are tolerable,I mean they could be better. But it dont work with my old compaq 610c.Way too bright.

  • You are right - I have no clue why I'd want a "Plasmoid" around my icons on the desktop. Also I have no clue what a "Lancelot" is or where to get one. This is exactly my point: I don't want to have to configure this type of basic stuff.

(Call me ignorant. But on most other desktops this kind of stuff just works out of the box.)

  • There are some critics I have on your remarks.

Calling a folderview plasmoid a "rectangle" doesn't sound very professional. It looks like you did not get the idea of the folderview plasmoids.

Also it is a bit disappointing that you did not try to use a well configured lancelot instead of a Kickoff or a traditional menu. IMO this perfectly unifies both ways of working.
