  • If you want to learn Arabic quickly and proficiency Read the Koran, you will learn within two months.

  • the Lebanese / Syrian / Jordanian / Palastinian and Egyptian dialects actually are the most foreign sounding dialects from the Arabic language .

the middle eastren dialect has more of an Arabic originated accent . more of the standard Arabic . with of course each Country's twist to it .

  • @MrJOverton

You are still better off than many. Learn it, one day at a time, it's fun!

  • @MrJOverton half white half lebanese? since when is being lebanese a color ?

  • @MrJOverton Whats the thing saying "you are half WHİTE"

WE ARE NOT LİVİNG İN 18TH CENTURY. Stop using white word to define ur origin. White but which country?? I find ur comment sooooo racist. And u sound as if lebanese people are black

  • @MrJOverton I am Palestinian and white and I am in the same boat... Dont worry, just work on Arabic and it will come easily. You will be surprised at how much Arabic that you know that you didnt realize. At least I was. I realized that I knew a lot of Arabic from my childhood, but never practiced it.

  • ok i will be waiting. shokrane... =)

  • any on algerian arabe? =)

  • We are working on it:-)

  • @LebanonPhoenica actually it was all called beladil sham...it was all one country.

  • @LebanonPhoenica You're very racist bro! I'm Christian but I believe we're still Arabs! We are also phoenicians and I'm proud of my phoenician heritage however phoenicia belongs to the past and no one today is purely phoenician! There have been lots of minglings throughout History! Both Christians and Muslims are a mix of Arab, phoenician, crusader, persian and a lot more! Some Christians in Lebanon came from Christian Arab tribes in the Gulf such as Al-Ghasasina!

  • @LebanonPhoenica And you shouldn't forget that maronites came from the Syrian hinterland to settle here in Lebanon! I believe that by right of history we are phoenicians because we exist today in the same space where they existed. However, we're ethnically definitely not phoenicians! And today, we speak arabic and not phoenician and we are more culturally related to Arabs than either Europeans or phoenicians (music, literature, dance) but we're special because we retain some Western influences!

  • @Charbel0389 I agree :)

  • Im an Australian Lebanese ... Im actually quite good at understanding arabic. BUT! when they expect me to reply back in arabic .. it takes me a long time to structure a sentence together LOL! and by then the conversation has died and moved on haha how sad

  • You are also right Michel. The dialect in this clip is actually for folks who live in Beirut (most Beirutis) say that. I was born and raised few blocks from Hamra street in Beirut and we pronounce it the same way it is in the clip:-) Thanks for the comment and have a great day.

  • So is the word "here" in the Beiruti dialect "hon" or "lahon"?

Is it the same in Damascus?

  • "hone" means "here"

    "lahone" means "to here"

    "minhone" means "from here"

    Hope that helped:-)
