Ok this will Solve everyones problem for the iphone 4 / 4s if you Cant find the Ringtones Folder go to : Edit / prefrences in itunes. and Tick the "tones" box in general tab this should show your tones folder ok.make a folder on your desktop named "Ringtones" and put all your customs ringtones and sounds in there you HAVE TO MAKE SURE! that the tones say for example :" cool sms.m4r " it cant just say cool sms even if its an m4r file Rename the file so it views as .m4r this will solve grey list

@Conair4GAppFire not at all, my friend...I just figure out the problem, i bet most of you guys, including myself was trying to trim the entire chorus into ringtone, but at another post on youtube, I learned that you can ONLY trim the ringtone within 29s, and yes, I did it now. I am using 4S and itunes 10, I hope this help a lot, please like so others would know how to solve the same problem.

@uHBuZi Go to Setting > Sounds > Text Tone > It will have the "Alert Tones" at the top of that menu, but if you scroll down it will have "Ringtones". Just choose one of the ringtones and it will set it as your Text Tone. This will only work if you have updated your Iphone to iOS5 or higher.

@uHBuZi I see you having alot of trouble and I'll try to help you the best I can. As for locating the file goes, if you moved the file after you saved it Itunes may have trouble finding it. I only had that problem once, and I just went to that tone in Itunes and clicked the exclamation mark beside it and I guess that told Itunes where the new location was. Make sure you have everything you want to keep on your phone checkmarked in your "device" menu. This includes music and movies.

i converted all my ringtones from my old phone to m4r's and they still wont trans to that folder...ive tried to import, use other programs to get them into itunes nothing is working....this video makes it look so simple, but its really not....unless u want to go and step by step do it the way apple says to, by sectioning out the part of the song and changing it,,,and i dont have time to do all that
