If you watch the Motown movie about the "Funk Brothers", look closely at the closing credits. It says there that the Funk Brothers, the Motown house band, did the music for "With This Ring" by the Platters, in 1967. Could the same musicians be doing the music here?
This was from their "soul years" when they hitched up in Detroit with Popcorn Wylie and Luther Dixon, they recorded several singles under this duo and the "Going Back To Detroit" album is brilliant
@SteveArpo The bass player has got to be the late and great James Jamerson from Edisto Beach , South Carolina. I'd recognize his style anywhere. He played with a group called the Funk Brothers, who were mentioned by georgethedj in this thread.
