  • i just baught a 76 300D..same thing ran it out of oil and spun a crank bearing...REBUILD:D

  • definitely crank rod and too much piston knock, this can also happen if the compression is bad get a compression test done

  • What year is this lovely Cadillac??

  • Piston slap. Bad cylinder bore. Mine had a stuck injector so it got too much fuel and washed down the rings constant at idle. Sounded identical. Set valves and all first. though but it is a cylinder. Look around the pistons are 55 bucks and the whole rebuild cost me about 1000 total. My labor. WORTH IT.

  • Hey take off the oil fill cap, and take a vid of the amount of blowby

  • cranck broken

  • Piston arm?? Ahhh that's right it fits in with the muffler bearing right??? You mean connecting rod bearings.UH no...that sound is coming from the engine's valvetrain not the crank case..It is most likely worn rocker arms or worn valve springs...could also be worn cam lobes.

  • Theres fuel pissing out of pump!

  • piston arm bearings damaged---

  • Piston arm?

  • al those old mercedes need their valves adjusted each 10000 miles , so start with that.

  • i think the eninge is in desprate need of tlc lol sounds like the timeing is off

  • yeah i would sort that rather nastel diesel fuel leak.

  • ehh, my father bought a Volvo 940 Stationwagon a while ago, and the woman said "oh yeah, it has a little oil leak" (NOT LITTLE) and "Yeah, sometimes the light would come on on the highway, so I would drive and it would stop- so I would re-fill it with oil, and it would start right back up..."

Turns out she did this like 5 or 6 times- running it out of oil. It had 178k miles on it...Its still around town somewhere, last I saw it had over 200k...

Drive it 'till it dies- then re-build it..

  • the enigine sounds just like mine, and I drive it everyday. That leak looks like it's coming from a bolt that just needs to be tightened.

  • just about the pump, no one seems to mention this....but from the video it looks open.

with the engine stopped just press on it as hard as it need to retract and close it as you would close a cola bottle:)

  • i believe that engine might be blown

  • the fuel need to be replaced filter also engine timing is wierd i think
