In California, medicinal users grow their own plants and this does not and has not caused any issues whatsoever. Slippery slope? No. It just means users of the drug wont have to go every few days to get a script refill that the greedy pharmaceuticals will jump all over the chance to exploit once medicinal marijuana is more marketable. Instead they can harvest their own crop and not have to worry about the slimebag insurance agencies and pharmaceuticals breathing down their neck.

Actually from someone who has personally experienced the pharmaceutical drugs that they prescribe for pain...Morphine, Oxycontin, Levo Dromoran, and others...I would say that Medical Marijuana is less harmful to patients considering that you can die from an overdose on those Morphine and the other pharmaceutical pain medications and cannot die from Medical Marijuana.

Let's review Barack. Morphine is an opiate, habit forming, decreases appetite and contributes to wasting complications. I saw my grandmother die because of this.

Marijuana is non habit forming, increases appetitive, and prevents wasting. Some studies show that it decreases tumor size in certain cancers. Too bad it's illegal. Address that.

Marijuana is a much better pain killer than opiates, things like morphine or oxycontin make you numb, if you don't feel anything than you can't feel pain. With pot the pain is still there along with other feelings, its just if you focus on something else you can't even tell its there.

Federal laws are supposed to supersede state laws, and if in the interests of medicine, Federal guidelines can supersede state laws only if they are upheld by the Supreme Court. If there is an allowance made by Federal laws, state law enforcement would do well to uphold that. However, any use or even possession outside those guidelines will result in state laws applying.

Sorry last thing, i was in an accident when i was 14, used to take pain pills, not prescribed but still i got basically hooked becuase of te pain. i havent taken an asprin or tylenol in 2 years, when i get off work from a manual labor job, i take a couple hits and can sleep just right. i cant afford 150 for a Liscense(robbery) shouldnt have to pay for our rights.

Yes I agree, but a half step is concerning to me as well, when logic and ethics dictate to stop kicking in doors of sick people who do grow their own and shoving firearms in their faces. No he didn't he said if marijuana is the BEST way to treat a disease then it would be allowed. Any other time it would not. Contrary to popular believe marijuana does has some harmful effects. Such as damages to the pituitary gland and build up in the small micro spaces between nerves in the brain slowing reaction time.
