It's meaninglessness is shown by fact that "homo" means "same" in greek, so homophobia means fear of the same, which is ludicrous. All of this simply shows the ignorance of those who invented the term.
Therefore, pay no attention to it, or those who use it.

This assumes that sexual desires are solely acquired through environment. Which isn't true. The urge to mate is deeply ingrained in the human psyche, and while it hasn't been proven that homosexuality is genetic (I don't think it is), there is increasing evidence that it is in fact biological. Something to do with what goes on during gestation. It's been demonstrated that, the more right-handed older male siblings a man has, the greater his chances are of being gay or bisexual.
Just one more thing: There isn't really a set "gay lifestyle". While there are those who dislike gays solely for the fact that they're gay, "homophobia" is a term which is thrown around far too much. His point is that ridicule does not mean "hate." Criticism does not mean "hate."

"phobia" is irrational fear, not social hate. I may fear a cat from inexperience with interacting with it, but that doesn't mean I hate it simply by being a cat. There were in the past, gay people that I considered my friends, even though I personally didn't agree with their choices. Then, if any of their gay friends were to get onto me for not agreeing with them, I was basically told not to expect them to stick up for me.

The urge to mate is deeply ingrained in the human psyche, and while it hasn't been proven that homosexuality is genetic (I don't think it is), there is increasing evidence that it is in fact biological. Something to do with what goes on during gestation. It's been demonstrated that, the more right-handed older male siblings a man has, the greater his chances are of being gay or bisexual.

His point is that ridicule does not mean "hate." Criticism does not mean "hate."
For example, if you laugh at someone who wears women's clothing, does that necessarily mean that you "hate" them or "disapprove" their behavior? No. You just laugh at them because you think it's funny, not because you "hate" them.

"phobia" is irrational fear, not social hate. I may fear a cat from inexperience with interacting with it, but that doesn't mean I hate it simply by being a cat. People use "homophobia" like that means "Gay hater". It's a slander of what it truly means. Fact being gay is abnormal, much like pedophilia, weird fetishes, glutton-ish addictions, etc... But that doesn't mean I hate any of them as a character by default.

Those chemicals messes up the hormonal environment when the fetus is developing, which may cause disruption of their brain development. Soybeans may cause male fetuses to become 'gay' because it contains estrogen-mimicking compounds called phyto-estrogens. Plastic cookware and containers have xeno-estrogens. Yes, certain genes may heighten the susceptibility, but environment is the root cause.

There were in the past, gay people that I considered my friends, even though I personally didn't agree with their choices. Then, if any of their gay friends were to get onto me for not agreeing with them, I was basically told not to expect them to stick up for me.

One issue I have with this whole mess is that so many of you are oblivious to the concept of the 'vocal minority', the small segment of any given group that has extreme positions and claim to speak for the whole group, which they don't. Just like feminists are actually a very small percentage of women, 'gay activist's' are a small percentage of the overall population of people who have same-sex orientation.
Most 'gay' people just want to live their lives in peace, not fuck your kids. Get a clue.
