I did put my Canon XH-A1 on it...but I put it on through the sun roof so that i could grab it if need be. I would just strap it down too if possible.
The problem with putting the big camera on it was that because it was longer it would wobble more from the air flow. So your shots don't look as smooth.
can you trust it going 100miles or more?
