This show raped the book series. They pretty much screwed up every charakter exept perhaps Denna. And whats with all the common people standing up to Khalan! In the books they don't even dare to look her in the eyes. The writers might as well not have read any of the books at all. Hero+swords+beautiful woman = Sword of Truth... Not exactly. There is so much more that the TV-show did not even scratch the surface of.

I'm a huge fan of the books, so I decided to randomly look up an episode of Legend of the Seeker, and, quite frankly, I'm disgusted. What is this nonsense!?!? Cara's hair is short and unbraided! She had a freaking CHILD with Darken Rahl, and the kid was allowed to live!?!? Mordsith can't control the gift of the Sisters anymore!?!? What the hell!?!?

Yeah it's loosely based on the books. It's surprising Cara is in the show at all since in the books she was only briefly introduced at the end of Stone of Tears and didn't play a bigger part until Blood of the Fold. I think they mixed some of the mord-sith from the books into Cara's character. Berdine and Raina were the mord-sith lesbians in the books that bodyguard Richard when he became the new Rahl.

The show may have differed from the book and at first I thought that the show would suck for that, but Legend of the Seeker is AMAZING even with a different story line. And honestly, who wants to watch a show that is EXACTLY the same as the books? If you wanna do that then just read them and let a movie play in your head. I have a simple solution. Why didn't Kahlan just Confess Dahlia to get the truth out of her? Duh! They don't know if they can trust her because she's a Mord'Sith of Rahl's and Kahlan can't read her, so why not Confess her? They all suspected a trick, why not find out the easy way?

It's funny that Kahlan is so ready to kill Cara for no reason, but she won't confess Dahlia.

The first two seasons were fairly good( and somewhat original) but as soon as the writers strike hit they completely took a left turn and introduced the overdone heaven vs hell plot and a third brother*gag*. I feel the show is fairly lackluster and cliche-ridden now. I like Jensen Ackles though. The dude has some great talent and I hope he can escape the CW and go onto better projects that will showcase his talent more.
