  • Really great film. I'm actually working on mine now and I was told by our teacher that you guys made this movie and spent $1000 dollars on it so I had to look it up. I really hope I can get my film to be as good as this. Please let me know if you have any tips for me making my film. My email is mikeperryx3@yahoo.com if you got anything for me. Awesome film again and thanks for sharing.

  • nett gemacht (nice work) but lo0kks extremely inspired or a copy of the last scene in Its all about love by Thomas Vinterberg..if you guys dont know that movie then try the way to hollywood

  • I loved the score, and the honesty of the story. "Would you save someone even though that same person has abandoned you before?" The perfect example of forgiveness packed in a movie of just 16 minutes which is filmed with limited means. Just amazing how you guys managed to do that. 5 stars and an absolute favorite!

  • Just amazing! I loved the score, and the honesty of the story, " If you could save someone even though the same person has left you before?" The perfect example of forgiveness, if you ask me. And you guys manage to do that in just 15 minutes and with so little means. Awesome job! 5 stars, and favorite!

  • Where did you film this?

  • Mt. Shasta, in northern California. 6 hour roadtrip...

  • doch find ich gar nicht schlecht^^

  • His limp switched a few times :P

And you spent 1k on the video? Does that include man hours?

    -Sarkon

  • No money spent on man hours.. unless you count the food it took to feed our team of 4...

  • mmmmmm Tuna Fish :)

  • what editing program?

  • The way it was filmed was very old fashioned. Such as not relying on Dialouge a lot more than music, shots, and such. I think that mad it really good! Nice job! The only thing I was un clear of was why is it called fire and Ice?

  • T'was based on some symbolism and metaphors we didn't get around to establishing too well in the film. Fire = life, Ice = death, etc. Thanks for enjoying it though!

  • @GermanSeabass oh i thought it was cause of the fire in the plane and the ice of the crash site

  • ...<3

  • Overall it was really good but the actors facial expressions didn't really match up with the lines they where speaking.

  • Hmm.

The film was very good. There were one or two places where it could have been improved, and some some elements that didn't quite fit but otherwise it worked very well. The actors were good enough to play their roles, and the score enhanced the entire performance.

I'd give you an A-/B+ on this. Maybe an...8.5 out of ten.

  • Thanks! There are probably more than two places that can use some improvement, but overall, I'm happy with the project in the light of a high-school student project.

  • What a beautiful video!

  • that was really, really good. my IB film is a joke compared to this.

  • the whole thing is great!

i luv the music u did especially though, it rly sets the moods like when he woke up and bill was gone

  • gawd i'd love to act in one of your movies... if i didn't live on the other side of the country TT-TT i've always wanted to be a voice actor too...

  • That was amazing! I love the music. It's beautiful. You guys did an awesome job on the film. Nicely done.

  • nice video. brings out alot of emotions. do u hav sheets for sale?

  • WOAH nice

  • the background music!! i love the melody at 5:05 and 12:30.

beautiful camera work-- where was this filmed?

  • Thanks! This was up in northern California at Mt. Shasta.

  • Stunning. I love the human emotion in the end, like a second chance. The music was beautiful as always, and even if someone else had submitted the video, I would've been able to tell it was yours by the style! LOVED IT! ♥

  • Thanks!

  • wow absolutely beautiful. where was this filmed?

  • Good job! It was nice to see another side of you.

  • Very nice. I expected another piano video. But that was also entertaining.

I have to admit that my attention was mostly drawn to the music in the background. ^^; It's great...

  • very impressive!

    well done

hope you got a good grade

  • wow!!! very very impressive!!! GEEEZZZ u guyz must have been FREEZING!!

but i believe it must have been worth it to see the final product come together huh? ^_^ lol

  • Ugh... *shivers* that water must have been freezing!!!!

  • It was a bit cold ... I think our top temperatures were around 28ºF.

  • sweet film. but thats what i hate so much about people. they think that the other person doesnt want to help them or something and they want to take revenge or get even or something. but in the end, they are still friends. at the same time, while i hate it, i love it cause thats what makes the story of something good. your a good story maker and a great piano player.

  • Makes for a good story, if not a bit convoluted, no? Thanks!

  • that was amazing

  • How did you get those awesome aerial views? Did you actual ride in a helicopter and someone peered out with a camera and filmed it? :D

  • Yep; one of my friends knows a guy who was able to take us up in a plane for a 5-hour excursion. We just took along the camera and tried making the best of it without shaking everything all over the place.

  • Wow, nice connections. Well you did everything excellently! Not the most talented camera person here so in my opinion, that was awesome.

  • wow O_O

    I wanna go to Germany!!

  • :D What's in Germany?

We filmed this in the northern part of California; Mt.Shasta region in mid-January. With a high of about 28º F ...

  • oh... -_- (I feel humiliated)

I take it back I don't want to go to Germany...

I want to go to CALIFORNIA!!

  • Haha! Go to Germany anyway; it's equally beautiful there. Well, nearly.

  • This was VERY WELL MADE, seabass! I mean, for a student, it was...INCREDIBLE...! Your musical score added everything BUT badness to it!

  • wow. what made bill leave him! slowing him down? cuz i know bill was a little mean in the beginning but i was thinking he cares about him, just doesn't show it in the face of the situation.

but bill helped him across the water ... then decided to leave while his buddy was still sleeping. he cared enough to leave matches but not enough to stay with him?

    hmm.

  • How long did it take to make that? you lost me a little bit in the middle but I liked the ending. over all I really enjoyed it! the music was beautiful, as always!

  • WOOHOO!!! awesome! i could definatwely hear you in ther sebastian

  • I don't really quite get the plot but the filmography looked pretty good. $1000?!?!!

  • Mm, yup, in the whereabouts of $1k. Costumes, make-up, driving, and hotels for a 3-day shooting schedule a 6-hour drive away just gets expensive. That's nothing compared to non-student films though.

  • o_O, lol, great job!

  • This was excellent! Sebastian, you really are becoming a great director. But $1000?! I would buy the film...let me consult with my parents. I mean, you put so much hard work into it, not to mention spent so much money on it...and it is really good. I'm just amazed.

  • Thanks! I hope I can keep doing film alongside other talented people, and possibly even compose the music for it.

  • wow i was surprised i was expecting fingers on piano keyboard

  • There were lots of fingers on piano keyboard ... just not visibly ~

  • hehe thats right didnt think of that but still nice work

  • That was really well done. I'm impressed :)

Your compositions are beautiful Sebastian, and the overall result was way worth watching (even though i didnt know bout the film till i just discovered now lol)

The crew was great :) Give them a thumbs up for me, especially Jeremy and Ian. All you guys could be big one day if you continue!

  • Well, all the other guys are off at other colleges, pursuing non-film careers. T'is a waste of talent, but I'll be trying to keep doing film and music. Thanks!

  • Wow! I REALLY liked the ending, it almost made me cry.

  • what was with "9:28"? i dont get it...

  • probably just a glitch

  • The Matrix killed it. Or youtube.

  • Two thumbs up!...maybe because my HS's film project sucked, but still awesome work. The only thing that got me is the Ipod. How come the Ipod couldn't make it, lol.
