If I get this right. Bernie wrote this with Elton in mind, and to think there was a time when you couldn't be obvious about your homosexual love. Even though most people assumed. To have to sing this song knowing your lover wrote it for you and thousands of people think you wrote it for some girl, DAMN that's just too much emotion for me.
