when i listen to this -- i think of my father (RIP) as well. when i saw him last time many years ago we bought together some recordings including Ennio Morricone's music before i left for the airport to find out 2 weeks later that he has gone forever.

I was a kid when I first saw the movie. Maybe 7 years old and there was a war going on then in Croatia... the music really made an impact on me. I think I have learned now after 20 years how a message can be sent via a normal cinema movie: if you try to be good in life, you will get hurt, a lot, but there is no other way to live... the rest is decay. And all that from an action flick....
