@wrnr8393 hey i agree avenged sevenfold are fucking awesome and Of Mice and Men are doing really well at the moment with riserecords and there is a new wave of bands making a comeback. in fact nearly every week there's probably about 3 to 4 bands getting noticed and recorded and thats what i love about it, there's always something new that metal bands bringing new material, better ideas and taking ideas from others and making their own stuff :)

I get where your coming from and i know after doing a bit of research about the timelines of metal and heavy genres and how it was all formed, It really originates from loads of different tangents, some say ozzy osbourne was the godfather of metal not sure whether that is true or not though aha :P
