My first exposure to MANY of these tunes was through CARTOONS and this is one of those tunes that brings back cartoon memories! This tune has been used in a bunch of cartoons if I recall correctly. Thanks for this post.
Great stuff! I've got the same recording but it's a little worn out. I play it on my model X Victrola or my Russian portable. You can see them if you search for obrien135
If Slam Stewart's vocalizing along with his bass playing on almost every tune isn't your cup of tea, there's also Benny's late '44 quintet (V-Disc, Columbia) with Teddy Wilson, Red Norvo, a different bassist, and no guitarist.
whats wrong with slam stewart?! hes amazing! check out some of his own projects theyre great, brilliant funny lyrics and extremely creative and original solos, he can seriously swing
Slam Sterwart stands out ...

Wow, top 25 of the lamest jazz song I've heard. Just edges past that ass clown of of pop music Kenny G. It's like benny's soul was stolen.

Excellent, but it doesn't beat his Quartet version of 1936!

One of ,if not the best of the swing artists.Benny also recorded in small groups stunning music, and more modern jazz.

Nobody but Noooooobody can play the Clarinet like classically trained Benny Goodman. He was the Master on this instrument.
