  • i was like... where on earth did i hear this from first??!! hahaahahah!!!! yeah.. moulin rouge.

  • @jethromartino ... this song sucks in that movie not even gonna lie

  • @DeaMcF hahaha not that much for now, i guess. at their time, it was rather great. thought, the lyrics is much more meatier compared to the songs of today.

  • @DeaMcF I will respectfully disagree. In Moulin Rouge, the haunting accompanyment with the violins was simply breathtaking and extremely moving. I thought it fit the movie perfectly, and it was integrated splendidly. All in all, an amazing movie, an amazing song, two amazing styles.

  • "The greatest thing You'll ever learn Is just to love And be loved In return"

  • when I was taking my six hours my driving instructor person was singing me the last line of the song. Now i love it♥

  • Came across this because I just saw the movie "Untamed Heart". It's a beautiful song; especially the lyric at the en dabout love and being loved in return.

  • my ears just had orgasms

  • @drroxxo1 mine too!!!

  • This was absolutely my favorite song as a child. I thought it was magical. The Dance of the Sugarplum Fairies and The Candyman were close seconds, but this voice with those words for an unloved kid were heaven.

  • this is in Moulin Rouge!!!! I didn't know he sung it!

  • He PASSED my way.Not PAST my way!

  • @iw32 haha! Bugs me too...

  • i think the guy who wrote it was a hippy in the 50s, well before his time

  • So beautiful song,

and I wish people will hear and learn about the meaning of this song.

    To love and be loved.

"learn to love peaple." for some peaple is nature but for some one,

They need to learn to love.

Especially there own people. Bangkok .....Thailand

  • I dig it for the orchestral accompaniment .... mmm.. takes me to a bright autumn morning, where the cold is covered in dew..

  • Agreed OnePineTree! This song brings a tear to my eye every time I hear it. I bought an entire CD just because of it.

  • silky, satiny - butta

  • this is my composition when i was a boy.

  • One of the best written songs of all time... its's sooooo..... Beautiful!!!

  • @OnePineTree Really ? The Greatest Thing You'll Ever Learn Is Just To Love And Be Loved In Return...............(Actually loves comes from God, so the whole song is centered on the fact that you actually have a Godly experience.!!!)

  • All time favorite since childhood. A man with the silkiest, soothing voice.
