Crazy turbo! Most E30 M3 owners install a Signature Motoring performance intake kit for around 9HP gain. Cost is a mere $150 or so, best value per HP gain in the E30 line.
@93Mike wheres this located aT? i just moved to Germany and im brand new to the BMW game will be picking up and e30 in a week or and am planning on doing a swap but to be honest i don have the knowledge to do it and ii want it clean and legit and also legal and able to pass inspection any tips or shops you know of if ur even in the German area. pleas forgive my lack of knowledge.
s38b38 m5 motor not so cheap thats the kind of e30 conversion were no expence can be spaired if your going to do it you gota go all the way, work out how much you think it will all cost then double it =P
A few things you should ask yourself. 1. will it be a daily? 2. will it be a track day toy? 3. is it just a project? 4. are you looking for max power? 5. can i maintain it? If you answered yes to 1, 2 and 3 or no to 4and 5.. you may not want to go with a s38.

I went with the s38 and use it as a daily and burn the hell outa it..no problems nice big block and crank big pistons big power check my vids
