I was a little kid in Norfolk Va. We udes to go to the beach every weekend because it was free, even parking was free then. The story about oysters concerns me greatly becuase it is not an in depth investigative report. Are these oysters from La. or are they Chesapeake bay oysters? Is it possible that currents have taken it that far up the eastern seashore to the mid-atlantic regions of the U.S.? I live in arizona but all my folks live in N.C. and Virginia. Thanks horseofpaulrevere good job!
Everything is okay guys. Didn't you hear the government and the corporations say the oil was cleaned up? This video is just propaganda from those who want to destroy this country. Let's all just go back to sleep now!
yeah, corporations would not harm people just to make money, i will bet you let your kids smoke and drink and do whatever, ` cause of course it is safe , corporations say so.
Sheesh ! First we have to see it, then breathe it, then the kids cant play in the sand (at least not lower than 6"), and now we cant eat it. How long before this scenario becomes the norm for our poor raveged, plundered, worn out world?
Filter feeding bi-valve molluscs like oysters are nature's own very accurate guage of water quality, trouble is it usually takes a food poisoning scare for people to notice this natural warning. But in this case, if the "oyster guage" is not being monittorred thru random sampling by the authorities then someone is asleep at the wheel. (or perhaps all the 'cover-up' theories are right?)
Extended time in the purification tank can make harvested oysters safe to eat, but at the expense of taste.

I'd hate to see people flee all beaches because of some rocks that resemble tar balls
DAD LOOK! Theres oil on my oyster........... Dont worry son nothing wrong with a lil oil on your oyster. It'll grease your inards. Plus its whats on the inside that counts!
I grew up, & live in the Florida panhandle. This is of historical life changing proportions. This is the end of life as we ever knew it, as it used to exist.
They used Corexit in food producing waters. The seafood industry both recreational & commercial has been destroyed for decades to come.
Long live Gulf Breeze, & the white sand beaches of Florida.
@AntimatterRadio so how come the tar balls they are cleaning from the beaches is black? The red is from the disbursements. And the disbursements are sending the oil lower into the sea, which will come to surface and beaches later in time.
@jvforever72 I'm vegetarian, and agree with you to a point, but the problem here is the whole food chain and ecosystem will be destroyed. Fishing kills a certain number of fish, but oil kills all the fish, there won't be any more, and no other sea life. So your argument (and again I'm sympathetic to your position) misses the point because the fact some people eat fish doesn't make the oil spill less horrible.
@generationutena It's not just the oil killing sea life. It's the dispersant. Did you not read or hear about how exponentially toxic that makes the oil? Check out TedxOilSpill. Marine toxicologist goes into details that are astounding!
Just like saying the cockroach is tiny in relation to the very big plate of soup, it doesn’t help. And when people start loathing him, to reply, ‘I’m a brick, sticks and stone can break my bones but words could never hurt me.’ And then as if BP were chirpy Tony wasn’t getting hated enough, on Wednesday they wheeled out their chairman Carl-Henric Svanberg, to say to the press, “We care about the small people”.
“Hey, close enough, I’ll tell you what, I’ll give the little boy who put his finger in the dykes a call, ill tell him to go get his snorkel.” But heaven know BP seem to be doing everything they can to rub Americans up the wrong way. Like letting cherry cockney chief executive Tony Haywood pop up all over the media saying things like, ‘I want my life back.’ Like telling the media the leak was tiny in comparison to the very big ocean.
Oil rig explodes, who you gonna call? The Dutch. There known in the Norwegian. “Guys what seems to be the troubles?” Oh, hooray it’s the Dutch, you really think you can help? “Sure i’m Dutch I’m always cleaning up waters and dealing with spills, so you have some spilled water you need cleaning up?” Well we’ve got millions of barrels of oil pouring into the sea.
Sarah Palin had some advice too, always words to gladden the heart, she criticised Obama for not doing enough to stop the leak, and when asked who she thought he should of asked for help, she replied, “ The Dutch there known in the Norwegian, there known for dykes and for cleaning up water and for dealing with spills.” Wow she really has an answer for everything doesn’t she?
What most people don't realize is that over 75% of our seafood in this country comes from other countries around the world, less than 15% from the Gulf (primarily Thailand and various other Asian countries) However, a lot of our oyster supply does come from either the Gulf/Florida/Mississippi/Louisiana coast. HUGE breeding ground for all types of mollusks, now entire breeding generations are dying off.

@MatrixVaporizer Where to send them? The oilsters (Oil Oysters) have already made it to North Carolina, so you can imagine other places everywhere are receiving TAINTED food!

Potential Benzene in the air...raining oil in Louisiana, FAA keeping pilots from flying over the gulf of mexico under 3000 feet. media blackouts...wake up to the fact that this is a BAD OMEN.
@DJCW My son and I did! Living in the Great Northwest now, I bought some collard greens a week before the damaged crop news was aired. I knew the outside leaves looked weird with dots of hard stuff splattered on them, but thought the under leaves would be eatable so I cooked them all day which is normal for good collard greens. We ate them & both got sick with flu like symptoms that lasted a day & a half. How did that store get those damaged crops before it hit the news? Consumer be ware!!
@glenisah One day not too long ago my wife and I were driving to the ranch and we passed a tank farm (oil tanks) along the road. (oklahoma/texas border). The tanker driver had spilled oil while transferring and it was running down the bar ditches. Three years later there was still oil in the ditches, even after cleanup. And that was on land, and a very small spill of a few hundred gallons, maybe 1000s!
@asymthought They are killing the crops while the corexit/oil takes care of the animals. The combination of those with a hurricane will pretty much ensure complete pandemonium.
@HorseofPaulRevere And in Alaska do you know they are STILL cleaning that mess up from Exxon? It'll be over a DECADE before we see any SAFE seafood from the gulf again.....
@rickydepths1 That is not convincing to me, it just looks like runoff, life every wal-mart parking lot when it rains. A terrible thing yes, oil rain, not likely.
how the fuck did they even find an oyster in that oil ?

New subscriber so a bit hesitant to lend my two cents, however, would you consider taking down the large captions after a fair amount of time to read? There is stuff going on where it resides.
Lexi8888 1 year ago
@Lexi8888 Please don't hesitate to add your two cents, OR to call me out on something, or to ask questions, that's why we are here, to find the Truth together!
I will change it now, thanks!

You shouldn't eat oysters anyway; they're filter feeders.

@MatrixVaporizer Where to send them? The oilsters (Oil Oysters) have already made it to North Carolina, so you can imagine other places everywhere are receiving TAINTED food!

I have singled out the problem regarding my videos being marked private, the playlists being shared, MANY of them were mysteriously switched to private. I have fixed them, I think, but please let me know if the MARKED PRIVATE problem persists. Thank you

@DJCW Seafood from the Gulf is NOT SAFE!
HorseofPaulRevere 1 year ago
@DJCW My son and I did! Living in the Great Northwest now, I bought some collard greens a week before the damaged crop news was aired. I knew the outside leaves looked weird with dots of hard stuff splattered on them, but thought the under leaves would be eatable so I cooked them all day which is normal for good collard greens. We ate them & both got sick with flu like symptoms that lasted a day & a half. How did that store get those damaged crops before it hit the news? Consumer be ware!!

Say goodbye to fresh local uncontaminated seafood in that area for a very long time. I hate to say it but that area is fubar until further notice.
glenisah 1 year ago
@glenisah Yes, and we ALL are fubar until further notice!
HorseofPaulRevere 1 year ago
@HorseofPaulRevere Point well taken.
It could take 100's of years to recover if any recovery is even possible.
glenisah 1 year ago
@glenisah One day not too long ago my wife and I were driving to the ranch and we passed a tank farm (oil tanks) along the road. (oklahoma/texas border). The tanker driver had spilled oil while transferring and it was running down the bar ditches. Three years later there was still oil in the ditches, even after cleanup. And that was on land, and a very small spill of a few hundred gallons, maybe 1000s!

How about the chemicals that you can't see like the deadly dispersants.
asymthought 1 year ago 2
@asymthought They are killing the crops while the corexit/oil takes care of the animals. The combination of those with a hurricane will pretty much ensure complete pandemonium.
HorseofPaulRevere 1 year ago 2
oh man, sounds like it's time to evacuate the locals...
