    music teacher that this was an excellent album most recommended by our usual

    teacher. She allowed him to put it on and the poening lines 'Arsehole, bastards, fuckin, cunts and pricks!' bought the turn table to a halt and us laughting our cocks off. This was along time ago don't forget.

  • @yzeefoureight From Kilburn and The High Roads to The Blockheads this bloke was a poet. Was fortunate enough to see him live at the first Madstock in Finsbury Park what must be close to 20 years ago ( although I've a vague, getting old now lol, memory of seeing him in Kilburn before that ) and I still never tire of hearing his tracks. FAR too many good ones to pull out a favourite. Though Billericay Dickie being a great one from this album

  • Ian Dury's New Boots and Panties album belongs in every music collection. The music is brilliant ad the juxtaposition between is East London accent and "lewd" lyrics and the smooth funky, soul, jazz flavor is so satisfying on more than a few levels.
