  • its amazing to see midwestern greats like larry rice and kinser and voulger man those were the days and look at those cars the days of real sprint car racing

  • 54 entires? We barely get half that now. USAC, Track Enterprises, and the Illinois State Fair have really screwed this race up. But, I will be attending yet again this year. Go #56, #51, and #43

  • 5:37 & 5:43 DIAL IT UP!

  • I find it pretty crazy that cars built in 1962 were still racing 20 years later.

  • @WillG75 Because cars built back then aren't as fragile as the ones built today.

  • @dirtywhiteboy5751 I know, but still. I figured that the wave of technology that hit the dirt world in the late 70's-early 80's would have phased out the old cars.

  • That Ken Schrader guy is a great driver. I bet by 1990 he wins the Indy 500.

  • @schraderfan i know right and maybe if hes lucky will win the daytona 500

  • Great to see Kenny Schrader handling that big car around the mile!

  • Love this video. I have been attending since 1966 when Don Branson won. I was hooked from that day on.
