  • The beautiful land of Ethiopia is one of the most "christian" countries in the world. Yet many believers in christ, there, die of hunger on a regular bases. So Where is that bread you are talking about.

    Lies Lies Lies get out

  • @teft If they believe in Christ then they die in Christ and will be resurrected to perfection and imortality never to hunger again. They have the "Bread of (Eternal) Life" and if they are starving and Christian then they understand something you don't. Christ didn't come to take away our trials and suffering but to give us a better hope. He suffered more than any of us so He may recompense us after as we will have need acording to our obedience.

  • Tonga

NUKU'ALOFA, Kingdom of Tonga -- On Thurs., Nov. 12 President Uchtdorf met with members of the LDS Church and guests at the Tonga Central Stake Center in Tonga. He urged those attending the meeting, beamed by satellite to 16 other stake centers throughout Tonga, to let their children and grandchildren know how much they loved them.

  • Docents serve for two years at a time but can extend for subsequent stints; some of them have been serving for more than 25 years.

"It is a blessing for anyone who can be a part of it," Sister Ames said. "All of our docents are very dedicated people — not only to the museum, but to anything Church-related. A lot of them have experience with missions and other service callings.

  • The keynote speaker at that 2000 conference was Hinckley, who was given an award for his humanitarian efforts.

"I have walked among the poor across the Earth," the then-90-year-old Mormon leader said. "I have seen so much suffering and deprivation, trouble and sorrow, my heart has ached."

Poverty spawns ignorance and illiteracy, Hinckley said, which leads to unemployment. "Without education, these people cannot be lifted."

  • It was in the year 1849, just two years after they had arrived in the Salt Lake Valley, when Brigham Young, the great colonizer of the West, called a group of Saints to journey south and start building their homes and communities all over again in another desert wasteland

  • "Little did we know before that evening the Lord would pile up stones of help," she said, noting that the Bible dictionary defines an "Ebenezer" as a stone of help.

Sister Nelson said she felt comforted just prior to the incident — comfort that helped her keep calm during the difficult experience.

  • Though some of the sheep may wander, the eye of the Shepherd is upon them, and sooner or later they will feel the tentacles of Divine Providence reaching out after them and drawing them back to the fold.

  • Why do you people make Jesus out to be a white man? He was a Galilean Jew, he was far more Semitic, and forensic evidence suggests he may have even looked a bit Egyptian (after all, Mary/Joseph hid him there). I think that is very racist of you. This is also the first video that I've seen a woman/man of color.

  • Why do we make Jesus out to be a white man? Maybe because for the last several centuries he's been portrayed like that and that's what people recognize. Either way, why do you care what he looked like? Does it even matter? Not really if you ask me. So long as he did those things mentioned in the Scriptures it really doesn't matter.

  • @smartwarlord your comments are very racist.

  • @smartwarlord

Thanks for pointing out that the 'actor' playing the part of Jesus is white. Good thing they didn't use an Asian, huh? Or is that being racist? Perhaps the actor is just an actor and Jesus is what He is.

As for looking Egyptian, He only lived there. Mary and Joseph were not of Egyptian descent. People that go to China don't come back looking Chinese.

Thanks for watching though. The vid does point out Christ's important role in Earth life in spite of its weaknesses.

  • @encoresurterre

would you agree that the Nephites and the Lamanites were of Egyptian descent?

  • @omiolo Egyptian descent? Not entirely. They were of Jewish descent for the most part. Even though Ephraim and Manasseh were half and the Jews were amongst them they had a code that kept them marrying mostly amongst their own clan. Not that no one ever did. At the time, I'm not sure anyone but the two cultures could tell them apart given their heritage. These days there is marked difference between many of them but I know so many Jews that look white who can really say.

  • so Ephraim and Manasseh's mother was Egyptian?

  • @omiolo Gen 41:45 "Pharaoh...gave him to wife Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On."

Unless there was an equally strange occurance where a Semite was set up as a priest of On and therefore his daugther was also Semite, then yes, she was Egyptian. So those two would have been half but raised as Jew and would have mixed back into the fold. They typically would have married of the other tribes of Israel eventually removing the effects of the mother. So, no, Jesus was not Egyptian.

  • so the Nephite and Lamanite blood would have been of Egyptian descent?

  • @omiolo NO! Go study genetics. If you say they were Egyptian then you're saying all Jews are Egyptians. Try passing that one off.

  • Why all Jews?

how do you make that big jump?

  • @omiolo Because that is the size of jump you apear to be trying to make with your questions.

After only 4 generations of a single introduction of a race into another the features of that race are almost completely eliminated. Israelites from Jacob on at least, were very careful about mixing with other races. Joseph had little option in that area. Doncha know?

  • "

After only 4 generations of a single introduction of a race into another the features of that race are almost completely eliminated."

I would like to see some proof on that. The japanese features are still very evident in many parts of the chinese golden corridor.

do you have access to scientific journals?

  • @omiolo Studies done in Australia on the removal of the Aborigine traits after intermixing with whites. It took just four generations of white infusion to remove the Aborigine traits.

Asians are Asians so what do you think? My Asian friends indicate they don't have the anit intermix rule either but there are still strong differences in the different regions.

  • do you have a reference for that?

  • Seventy-eight pallets containing 60 tons of food, hygiene kits, clothing, wheelchairs and water containers were gathered from the Salt Lake City warehouses of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and placed on a 12-hour charter flight to the Pacific island of Samoa.

  • Dozens of villages were completely destroyed, resulting in hundreds of families losing everything," said Elder James J. Hamula of the Churchs First Quorum of the Seventy. Elder Hamula, the first counselor in the Pacific Area Presidency, said this shipment is expected to care for 2,000 people for 3-4 weeks.

  • "It is amazing how many views we get," he said. "That is the kind of direction we're now headed as we're trying to proclaim more of the messages of the Restoration."

The church has also developed about 20 different Web sites specifically for search engine optimization. One example is lds*org/jesuschrist It differs from jesuschrist*lds*org, a site launched last year, in that it is built specifically for Google searches.

  • The Book of Mormon reveals what the term gospel truly means. The Lord declared, This is the gospel which I have given unto you—that I came into the world to do the will of my Father, because my Father sent me. (3 Ne. 27:13.) That sentence is as sparklingly clear as it is brief. The Savior then explained in fuller detail His mission and His atonement (see 3 Ne. 27:1321), concluding His definitions by again saying, This is my gospel (3 Ne. 27:21).

  • The Mormon Church established its seminary in 1912 out of a concern for religious education, Erni said.

The church wanted to provide students with a gospel base upon which to build their lives, to deal with the problems and challenges they will face and understand how God speaks to men, he said.

  • but we aren't really the Mormon Church, We are the restored church of Jesus Christ.

Mormon is only a nick. and it is better to refer to our faith as its true name.

  • did you read the conference talk by President Hinckley addressing this issue?

  • no i haven't

  • @TrueSaintsLDS Then why was your church name something else...before what it is now?

  • i think the bible is supposed to be an easy explanation of what scientists found out

  • Palmyra, New York: Hill Cumorah Pageant: Americas Witness for Christ

    Performances 1011 and 1418 July 2009

The pageant begins at dusk, around 9:15 p.m.

  • "I was born Guatemalan and I will die Guatemalan," Rangel said "but that doesn't mean that I cannot learn from other people here. We should not shut our doors, but rather we should get to know others."

  • if god wanted to put every little detail about the world in th bible we would all have to live as long as methuselah to read and learn it.

  • So God could include His word elsewhere as well, like in the Book of Mormon.

  • sol what did he say in book of mormon?? when i will be reach please tell me????

  • I wouldn't mind that.

  • @interested777 the bible is missing alot of the teachings thanks romans!!!!

  • It is easy to say man made a mistake in leaving things out of the Bible but God dont make mistakes nor does he let man interfere with his divine plans for if he did he wouldnt be God.

  • I don't think people made mistakes, especially God--but the Bible could only be so long!

  • A person can't take it upon himself to guess as to other things Jesus done and turn around and potray them as truth.

  • I agree. Guessing the other things Jesus did would be pointless. However, the point was to show that every name and event of truth does not have to be contained in the Bible.

  • I dont know how you can justify that statement I think john said that to proclaim the Greatness of Jesus.

  • So were the things that Jesus did which were not included in the Bible -- are they truth?

What about scientific truths and medical discoveries that are not in the Bible?

My point is not to trivialize the Bible--I believe it is the Word of God--but rather to show that there can be truths not contained in those 66 books.

  • What were these things we are back to imagination and guessing .God does give hints about advanced technology.Anyone can write a book but who can use them as sound document in a church for a church.

  • John 20:30 And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book:

I think that pretty much settles it lol.

  • There is no need to ramble on about all the signs and wonders Jesus did, or about every word He spoke. The Bible contains the full and eternal gospel, and is such sufficient for all doctrine and all necessary knowledge of God. If there was more to be written, He would have revealed it long ago, and at the very least, it would not contradict what was already written. The bottom line is that Mormons do not trust God, they trust man and that is a deadly mistake.

  • "The bottom line is that Mormons do not trust God, they trust man and that is a deadly mistake."

On the contrary, we trust God. We trust that God still cares about and loves His children today, and continues to reveal Himself unto them through continuing revelation.

I agree that we don't limit God to just one book. Maybe it's wise not to try to put artificial limitations on God?

  • hare krishna!!!!!

  • In short, I go to church each week with the intent of being active, not passive, and making a positive difference in peoples lives. Consequently, my attendance at Church meetings is so much more enjoyable and fulfilling.

  • "Revelation 22:18 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to these words, God will add to that person the disasters written about in this book.19 And if anyone takes away from the words of this book of prophecy, God will take away that one's share of the tree of life and of the holy city, which are written about in this book."

how clearer can this be? Jesus felt no need for further prophecy. thats why we have the Holy Spirit.

  • That scripture refers to the Book of Revelation, not the Bible. The Bible was not yet compiled and would not be for quite some time. In addition, did you know that John wrote some of his other books after Revelation, such as his Gospel?

Since these were written after Revelation, is that "adding" to to it? Should we disregard these?

Of course not, because again that scripture only refers to adding to the book of Revelation.

  • If God wants to give more of His word, would you deny it?

  • Again from his history: The canal kept breaking until it proved a failure. The failure caused me to lose all my crops and my mill would not run. My stock was all gone and I was flat broke (Robert Gardner Jr. Self History and Journal, 26).

  • One morning some years ago, I received a telephone call from Brother Omar Alvarez, who at the time served as one of my counselors in the bishopric. His three-year-old daughter had died in a tragic accident.

He related the account of what happened that day as follows:

  • I have read the book of mormon in it entirety. I was raised as a mormon, never learned the truth until I reached adult hood. The mormons believe in getting baptized for the dead and have there own Bible. God says nobody shall add to his word.Josegh Smith a 14 year old boys dream is not apart of the Holy bible or any Bible. The Bible is the only book you need. I pray all mormons will come to realize and know the truth. Please just Pray and use your common since and brain.

  • We do not claim that the Book of Mormon is "a part of the Holy Bible." It goes hand in hand with it to testify of our Savior Jesus Christ.

As a practicing member, I use my "common since and brain" often. Both faith and logic have led me to my belief.

  • The Bible is all that is needed, It does not go hand in hand with the Bible. The mormons make their own rules and tend to change them when needed.Shame on you for believing in False prophets and trying to add to God's words what are you going to say when your time comes and You tell our heavenly Father you choice to believe in False prophets instead of The God's word. put down that false book and pick up the real true word of God.I think you are mislead and brain washed.I will Pray for you all.

  • " I pray all mormons will come to realize and know the truth."

your prayers have been ANSWERED. The Mormons do know the TRUTH.

  • Dont believe in this, only the bible is true. believe in Jesus not Joseph Smith'..s dream. I pray all will no the truth one day and be saved by Jesus, He is the only way, believe nothing eles.

  • Have you ever read the Book of Mormon in its entirety?

  • so basically you are saying that ONE book trumps 2000 years of oral and written history from OTHER cultures taht make NO mention of any of teh evenst described in the BOM?

  • Let's see. Did I say that? I said, "Have you ever read the Book of Mormon in its entirety?"

I would focus on reading before writing.

And to answer the same question you asked on another video (which I responded to and not surprisingly, you didn't respond to there...):

The Book of Mormon does not "trump" the Bible. They go hand in hand in testifying of our Savior Jesus Christ.

  • Comment pending approval what are you afraid someone will prove you wrong this among other things proves your weak faith and lies.

  • If you read my profile, you'll see that I approve all comments, with the exception of those that contain profanity or vulgarity.

But don't let facts prevent you from jumping to wrong conclusions, accusations, and name-calling.

  • Read 1 timothy and apply it to yourself.God might allow you to see if not well i guess Hes had enough He will continue to make you believe a lie.

  • joe smith isn"t in the bible. The bible should not be added to or taken from.Mormons fall in the same boat as 7day adventists who claim ellen white was a prophet.

  • Do you believe every single truth is included in the Bible?

  • I do because i dont doubt Gods power its called faith.

  • What about John's statement, "And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written."

These other things that Jesus did and taught are not included in the Bible. They are still truth.

  • Could be written but they were not.John says that so man realizes that Christ did a lot more wonders then just what was wrote.Disciples were called and chosen by God personaly to do His work.

  • "Disciples were called and chosen by God personaly to do His work."

So was Joseph Smith. Have you heard the story of the First Vision?

  • None other has had so profound an influence upon all who have lived and will yet live upon the earth.

  • As we commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ two millennia ago, we offer our testimony of the reality of His matchless life and the infinite virtue of His great atoning sacrifice

  • " And whatsoever ye shall aske in

my name, that will I do, that the

Father may be glorified in the So.

If ye shall ask an thing in my name,

    I will do it."

  • This is Christianity not "later day saints aka mormanism" This video is only half the truth. You also believe that Joseph Smith served a greater purpose than Jesus Christ. That Joseph will be there to Judge us on Judgement day. That Jesus and Lucifer are blood brothers. That Blacks are not of God. That having multiple wives is not a bad thing. Nothing but a carton of sour milk in a new jug.

  • Your comment is absolutely wrong. This video is the doctrine of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

We do NOT believe that Joseph Smith served a greater purpose than Jesus Christ. That is categorially false.

Similary, we believe that all people, regardless of race, skin color, gender, etc., are all children of God.

Polygamy is not allowed in the LDS Church.

Please get your facts straight before posting again.

  • Then how come you didn't allow Black people to join the LDS church until the 1980'S? Are you going to rule your own planet?

  • Blacks have been allowed to join the Church since the very beginning. Please get your facts straight.

    Visit blacklds*org for more information.

  • then why ws JOSEPH sMITh allowed to be a polygamist?that IS a fact it is on PUBLIC RECORD that he hadmultiple wives.the bible clearly states that this is adultery.yet you stilll idolize this man..sad..

  • If God commands it, then it is not a sin. You said, "The bible clearly states that this is adultery."

Should we review the scriptures where Abraham, Jacob, Moses and others all practiced polygamy?

In 1890, the Lord commanded that polygamy no longer be practiced and it has not been practiced since in the LDS Church.

  • Man you are one twisted and loss soul in 1890 what a joke you people should be ashamed of yourself.

  • learn to spell

  • Jews who killed Jesus ?? !

  • i think jesus was an amazing person. Even the best person who ever lived

  • I have to agree ;)

  • tho he probably didnt even live

  • 120-203, IRENAEUS, in defense of his own versions of deification against Heresies: We are 1st, merely made men, then at length gods. Cites Psalms 82:6. Christ became what we are so that we can become what he is.

155-168-181, THEOPHILUS to early anti-Christians: You believed images made by men are gods. Why not then that God can make you a god in resurrection too? God gave Adam means of advancement, so that maturing, becoming perfect, he's declared a god. Keeping com. = reward = become God.

  • what jesus did was amazing. The fact that he took on the punishment for my, and everyone elses sins amaze me. He was the greatest person who ever lived

  • We believe in God the Eternal Father and

in his son Jesus Christ and

    in the Holy Ghost."

  • Please change the name of this video. The full name of our church is "the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints". We have been called Mormons and I am fine with that, but we don't believe in "Mormonism" we worship Jesus Christ not Mormon, who was one of the prophets of old.

    Please and thank you :)

  • Like it or not, people know us as Mormons. When people search for things about us on Youtube, they search for "Mormon" or "Mormons" or "Mormonism" and rarely do they search for the full name of the Church. If our videos aren't there, only negative videos will be.

  • Like i said before, I have no problem with being called a Mormon, but the religion is not Mormonism. We don't worship Mormon we worship Jesus.

Just plz take out the mormonism part thats all. :)

  • Sorry, can't do it. A lot of people are searching for "Mormonism." I prefer positive videos to be there. Unless our videos are there, we can never correct the misconceptions.

  • you mean you prefer to cherry pick your theological videos for thinsg that only portray your church in apostive light?so is that a misconception that YOUR group is the only group taht teaches jesus was in america?

  • As far as I know, the LDS Church is the only religion that teaches Jesus was in America.

Do you believe that because only one religion teaches it that it can't be true? Remember that when Christianity was started, it was also the minority religion for a long time.

  • I dont know Joeseph Smith, but i know Christ Jesus. To become a mormon you must put the chains of his witness. Why dose Joeseph Smith need me as a witness when he has God ?

This is wrong, those who follow Christ seek No followers. There is but One Light.

  • I'm not sure exactly what you mean when you say, "Why dose Joeseph Smith need me as a witness when he has God?"

    Could you clarify?

  • You cant become a mormon unless you except Joeseph Smiths revelations,if you could, what would be the point of mormerism ?

  • That's true. We believe in modern-day prophets because God has a pattern of calling prophets from the beginning of time.

Just as we accept the revelations of Moses because they are the words of God, we accept the revelations of Joseph Smith. God continues to speak through prophets today!

  • I have walked naked into the darkness, and also walked to the flame,if there is someone you know who is qualified to talk to me of God,then please tell them to contact me,as i have found nobody in the last two years who have been qualified by God.

I Fear only God,its his will that will be done. The walk i went on has taught me to understand lies from Truth.

God Bless you brother with His Truth

  • In your mind, what qualifies someone to be able to speak to you?

  • Anyone can talk to me,Its God who qualifies man.God reveals himself through the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit wont come to those who seek power and wealth, this is why they are blind to God.Anyone can talk to me,but i wont be quoted to from plaigirisims from the bible.

I know Truth when i read,or hear it.

    God Bless.

  • Have you made a video about your experience that you mentioned above?

  • Oh yes i should have took the bbc and cnn with me,could have had a fun time. You go alone, you must be alone, there is No saftey in numbers.Sarcasim is for the sarcastic.

    God Bless.

  • It was not meant to be sarcasm. I just meant have you made a video where you explain or share your experience, like a testimony.

  • Read my page, and watch my two videos, sending andy, and the other one when i went back, also read harryssearch for truth, and madharry, and cruzsanta, they are all me.They have all the three days explained on each of there front page.

God bless, and sorry for thinking you were sarcastic.

  • Eyes keeps it real. I Keeps it real!

  • saul scatterd the 4 red gospels like the anti-christ. the witness shall appear soon and jesus shall be lifted. hes not your average "joe smith". hes not even a christian.

  • If you listen to this message you will hear

the scriptures of the New Testament being

spoken. Blessed be the name of our Redeemer

whom we love with all our might, Praise be

him Jesus Christ our beloved Savior, the

    center of our faith."

  • "That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ the

Father of glory, may give unto you spirit of

wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of

    him."

  • We believe in the Holy Bible and it is a cannon of study for us.

The Book of Mormon is another testament of the Savior Jesus Christ.

Both testify of the sacred mission of the Savior and all his teachings.

Saddly in your comment you undermine his purpose sacrifice, for if we were not worth it he would of atoned for us. He did so out of love, to us and the Father in Heaven.

However I appreciate your concern for us, we have the same. Bless you brother."

  • First, learn what we should learn.

Second, do what we should do.

And third, be what we should be.

  • May we all come to know him and learn of him. Blessed be his name, I am so grateful for him Thank you for this awesome video it touched my heart.

  • We believe in God the Eternal Father and in his son Jesus Christ. I testify that he is my Savior and I love him. It is more that the soul can hold in our hearts, to know all that he has done for us and continues to do.

  • LDS has been doing this for years but once a person calls the toll free number will become a Mormon.

LDS uses Jesus Christ to draw people to their religion!

  • LOL, Of course the draw is Jesus Christ. As it should be!!

  • If you have to be a mormon, it's better than being a Nazi anyway, or a bigot, or a Fundamentalist Christian or any type of fundamentalist. It's not as good as being a loving, caring mature adult but at least you are trying.

  • Are you saying that Mormons can't be "loving, caring mature adults"?

You must not know many, if any, members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They are some of the most loving, caring mature adults that I have ever met.

  • "loving, caring mature adult" Try it sometime.

  • Conveniently, the Mormon doctrine was left omitted from this film. Allegories and various and sundry biblical scenes were depicted that is common to most all denomenations. There was nothing specifically 'Mormon' about the film, at all. I wonder why this is the case? Hmmmm...

  • Well, the Bible is a very significant part of Mormon doctrine...so I don't think it was omitted from this film.

  • how can u say bible is part of book of mormon. i read that mormon was written by prophets of america before christ was even born. but hang on a minute, america has history of perhaps four or five hundred years. false isnt it.

secondaly, if u believe in christ then u shud call urself christian. not mormon.

finally, ppl will say to Jesus that they knew Him, but He will rebuke all those ppl. so be carefull and pray to God for guidance and wisdon coz devil is leading mormonism.

  • Actually, we don't say that "bible is part of book of mormon." They are two separate books of scripture, written by ancient prophets--the Bible in Israel, the Book of Mormon in the Americas.

You said, "america has history of perhaps four or five hundred years." I think you need to learn more about ancient American cultures.

  • You also said, " if u believe in christ then u shud call urself christian. not mormon." We call ourself Christians. Mormon is a nickname originally given to us by our persecutors.

Also, what about Lutherans, Protestants, Evangelicals, Catholics, etc. They all call themselves certain other names, but are also Christians.

  • Finally you said, "be carefull and pray to God for guidance and wisdon."

I agree with this 100%. We do not encourage anybody to rely on somebody else's word, but rather to pray and ask God for themselves if it is true. This is the invitation that we give to each person. Millions have accepted this invitation and received a witness through the Holy Spirit that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true.

  • because this video was made for people who are seeking further knowlge not for people who r looking for any chance they get to critisize my church!!!

  • see how its almost the bible but not, he shall be called Jesus as they quoted, the bible says "And he shall be called Immanuel - "God with us". theres the type of twist that always comes out because otherwise it doesnt fit mormon doctrine

  • I'm not sure exactly what you're referring to here.

  • may i ask when it says in the bible, Jesus married several times and had children...oops

  • It doesn't and I don't see why it would have to be?

  • How does this matter? Jesus still is who he is our lord and Savior who loves us all. This is our belief of him.

  • yeh but do u know the law of God. ten commandment? you all are being mislead.

God is a great judge and He will judge eveyone on judgement day, everyone thinks God is love therefore He wont punish us but wrong because He is just and hates sin, He will punish those who go against His will.

Msn cant you see the truth. how can u believe in Jesus but not believe in Bible. so sad but this is supposed to happen ccoz many are called but few are chosen.

  • "yeh but do u know the law of God. ten commandment?"

Of course we do. We love, cherish and study the Bible and do our best to follow the Ten Commandments, as well as the other commandments from God.

I would encourage you to visit mormon*org. It seems as though you don't know much about our faith (for example, thinking that we don't believe in the Bible when we actually do). If you have any additional questions, feel free to send me a message.

  • why should I when I know the truth, see you are diluted and i cant blame you. If u r christian u shud read bible. Its not about being Good and sound coz before God we are all like stains on toilet seats no matter how good. thats worldly standard. God standard is higher. Coz He is far more superior and Holy.

I dnt go with book of mermon coz thats not Biblical. I am worried for you coz second comin of christ is upon us. and if u belive in bible then y mormon.??? dilusion my friend.

  • So do you believe that God cannot speak if He wants to? Do you believe that He cannot reveal additional scripture?

I would be careful about putting limitations on what God can and cannot do. If He wants to give additional scripture, as He did with the Book of Mormon, there is nothing in the Bible to prevent him from blessing us with more of His word.

  • The other reason that you should learn about our beliefs is that if you intend to make judgments and conclusions based on our beliefs--you should actually know what we believe!

  • Nobody cares what Mormons are or think. It is a weak philosophy in a land full of weak philosophies. Grow up already and take 100 percent responsibility for the world, give none to a god. When you give any percent of responsibility to a god you fail us.

  • Curious you say that but you must have had some interest to click on this video, as well as the other thousands of people who did. A lot of people DO care who Mormons are and what they think. If you don't, that's fine but such broad generalizations can appear foolish based on the facts.

  • It is OK, I am not angry and just wanted to voice my opinion like you did yours with the video. I do have great interest in human philosophy and its distructive force. Just wanted to say what I feel. I feel to give any responsibility to any god is to fail us. The ultimate laziness and shrug off of real work. Sorry you did not like my comment but I really think that as strongly as you think that being mormon is necessary.

  • I'm not sure why a belief in God then results in "ultimate laziness and shrug off of real work" in your opinion.

God helps those who help themselves! We are meant to work hard, to better the world.

  • gays will be doomed in hell if they not change....its very simple...as was in de past ...city of gomrah ..i think ..so will it be now..

  • On January 1, 2000, the leaders of The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints (Mormon) issued the following regarding the LDS beliefs about Jesus Christ:

As we commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ two millennia ago, we offer our testimony of the reality of His matchless life and the infinite virtue of His great atoning sacrifice.

None other has had so profound an influence upon all who have lived and will yet live upon the earth.

  • oh and NOTHING of any folklore from OTHER cultures who inhabited the americas in eth last 2000 years matching up to any of the evenst ..battles..civilizations detaile din the BOM..but oh ONE BOOK couldnt be wrong...

  • "but oh ONE BOOK couldnt be wrong."

If that book is from God, then you are absolutely right. It can't be wrong.

  • Yeah you can be GAY but you cant live the lifestyle:-)But they love you enough to send you to evergreen and give you shock therapy. Hypocrites and Assholes!

  • It is a sad day when so-called Christians have so much venom and hatred of others who profess a faith in Jesus Christ.

I know many Mormons, and have found them to be good, moral people who love the Lord.

It is so much better to find that which unites us, rather than be filled by the hate that Satan promotes by contending so much.

May God bless us all that we may "love one another."

  • Thanks for your wonderful comment!

  • Love Jesus and trust in Him as the only way to heaven. The Cross was for all who believe in Him. Not only Mormons, but every denomination have some mistaken teachings and we shouldn't be too quick to judge our brothers. When we who trusted in the Cross get to heaven we will all discover the Truth and might even find humour in our misunderstandings about various points of scripture... Trust Jesus not your "denomination"!!

  • When I watch this video I am mindful of the Churches stand on Gays and can not help but wonder how Christ would have dealt with someone burdened with sexual attraction for the same gender. Would he heal them? Would he have embraced them? The Church would have us believe that he would have cast them off for such is their stand today

  • I do not want to get into a discussion about politics or anything of the sort. I know you've discussed this with others elsewhere.

The Church does not cast them off, the Church welcomes and embraces them in the Church as our brothers and sisters. Nonetheless the Church disagrees with their lifestyle, not the people.

Would he heal them? I don't know, we could only speculate. But he surely would love them.

  • Life style? What do you see that as being? there are members of the Church that would live the same standards as heterosexuals only they would ultimately make a life long commitment to someone of the same sex.

  • As far as God has revealed, that type of commitment, or marriage, is supposed to be only between one man and one woman. If God says otherwise, the Church will follow. Until that time, we do our best to follow what God has commanded.

  • a number of gay members of the church choose to commit suicide rather than endure a life long loveless existence. I feel God who created all people must have a purpose for gays, I live in hope that the Church may one day find something that works better

  • Gays must repent and turn away as any other sinner does. Everything in life is a choice. Only color and gender are not. You choose to lust for, and sleep with one of the same sex, and are not forced to. People continually look for justification and happiness in their sins, simply because the Devil fools you into such things. There is none.

  • let me tell you something the family is ordained of god and a unity of a man and woman is essential to the crators plan is that so hard to grasp?

  • Thank for this film, he very spirituals.

    Pierre from france

  • Joseph Smith taught that we stood on neutral ground before joining the church. Upon opting to join the church,we could never stand on neutral ground again. Those who choose to leave us do so from the promptings of Satan. You can tell by the venom that comes out of their mouths. They become our worst perse

    cutors.

You do great work, and are appreciated by many. Thank you.

  • I would never personally "persecute" or injure a Mormon. I have many mormon friends altough I cannot talk openly about their religion. Actually I feel like many Mormons persecute me, and I have been personally insulted many times by LDS. The promptings of Satan remark is persecution of me. The things I talk about are true and legitimate arguments about mormonism, dismissing them as from satan is part of a victim mentality. Christians are also the victims of Mormons insulting their religion.

  • Studying anti-Mormon material is a hobby of mine. There is no shortage of material. We discuss these things openly in my Sunday school class. The "Kilgour" material will be copied and discussed on this Sunday morning.I enjoyed the reference to Shakespear. I haven't heard that one in years.

I hope you're not as angry as you sound.

  • I think you are doing a good thing by talking about this with your class so that they are aware of some of the things thrown around, and the explanations to them.

  • yes teh laminits and the nephi is a FABRICATED story..there is NO historical record to document it besides the BOM..that PROVES it is a fabrication...how can you prove something that isnt there?

  • First, you should consider that "Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence."

Do you realize that only a relatively small percentage of the historical sites in South and Central America have been excavated?

Second, I'd encourage you to visit farms*byu*edu. You could learn a lot. Many things that people use to use as "evidence" that the Book of Mormon was a fraud have now turned out to be true as we learn more about these cultures.

  • Also, remember -- What EVIDENCE do we have that Jesus was crucified?

We don't have the cross, we don't have the burial clothes, etc. Instead, we have written accounts and the testimony of the Holy Ghost.

The same is true of the Book of Mormon. Like the Bible, we rely primarily on written accounts and the testimony of the Holy Ghost.

  • then prove us wrong CTHULU! you have nothing to back yourself with

  • LDS9999 is correct =)

this was a beautiful movie- I love it =)

  • Thanks for the support!

  • Many Mormons wonder why Christians dont like their religion. First Joseph Smith said that God Called all Christian Churches an "abomination." Second Mormons Believe that Christians cannot be saved by their version of Christianity. third Joseph Smith said that Muslims know more about God than Christians do. Forth Mormon Missionaries focus on converting Christians. Fifth Baptisms for the dead, how would you feel if pentacostals started baptizing dead Mormons? Mormonism is a slap in the face to us.

  • 1. Christ said that, not Joseph Smith, and He did not say that the Christian Churches were an abomination, he said that their creeds were. Understanding more how the Nicene and other creeds were created by men makes this comment much more understandable. However, I understand how it can come across otherwise.
